Patent number: 12537700Abstract: A method and related system operations include receiving, from a first user device of a first user, a request indicating an off-chain identifier associated with a second user and a resource for the second user. The method also includes generating and sending a link to the second user based on the request. The method also includes obtaining, based on the link being activated at a second user device of the second user, a signed code signed with a first key via a signing application. The method also includes sending, based on authentication of the signed code, to a blockchain system, a signed message indicating a transfer of the resource from a source blockchain address to a target blockchain address. The method also includes storing, based on the authentication of the signed code, the off-chain identifier and the target blockchain address in association with one another.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2023Date of Patent: January 27, 2026Assignee: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Noah Wexler, David Short, Kimberly Stockley

Patent number: 10769806Abstract: The present disclosure relates to calculating dimensions of loaded or partially loaded pallets for purposes of billing. A plurality of cameras are utilized to determine dimensions of a package placed in bounding volume for shipping.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 2018Date of Patent: September 8, 2020Inventors: Paul Driegen, Adam Stevenson, Kirk Serjeantson, David Short, Michael Hagler, Thibaut Tiberghien, Ian Gartley, Andrea Winarski

Patent number: 10096131Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and systems for calculating dimensions of objects on loaded or partially loaded pallets for purposes of billing in shipping and transportation applications using depth-sensing imaging devices. A plurality of depth maps of an object are retrieved from one or more imaging devices. The depth maps are filtered and transformed into a world co-ordinate system based on calibration of the imaging devices. A point cloud is generated and a minimum volume bounding box is determined. The edge lengths and height of the object are calculated, and a volume may be determined to associate a volume with the object.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 2016Date of Patent: October 9, 2018Inventors: Paul Driegen, Adam Stevenson, Kirk Serjeantson, David Short, Brian Glancy

Patent number: 9604256Abstract: A system and method for providing intelligent mail recovery are provided. A cart for receiving a bucket containing mail items provide a camera and scale on a frame for detecting movement of mail items and determining destination as well as an associated weight of the mail item. An indicator is provided to an operator of the system as to the destination of the mail item. The mail item can then be sorted to the appropriate sort location. The system provides the ability to efficiently sort mail in addition to being portable within a sorting facility.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 2014Date of Patent: March 28, 2017Assignee: Logical Turn Services Inc.Inventors: Kirk Serjeantson, Adam Stevenson, David Short, Jim McLellan

Patent number: 5207423Abstract: The improved tennis racket string straightener is a one-piece unitary pocket comb, preferably of molded plastic, with an elongated body and spaced integral teeth depending therefrom along the length thereof. The body has curved ends to prevent pocket snagging and includes a vertical lower plate from which the teeth depend, and a top horizontal flange acting as a hand grip. The plate is integral with the flange and connected thereto along the longitudinal center-line thereof. The teeth in one embodiment are all the same size and spacing. In another embodiment the teeth are of generally similar shape and size but the distance between adjacent teeth gradually increases the farther the teeth are away from the mid-point along the length of the comb. The teeth are generally triangular in front, rear and side elevation, thus generally wedge-shaped with apices pointing down, and the spaces defined thereby are generally triangular with their apices up. All apices are slightly rounded to prevent string damage.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 1991Date of Patent: May 4, 1993Inventor: David Short
