  • Publication number: 20190206009
Abstract: This disclosure covers methods, non-transitory computer readable media, and systems that analyze sensory data from a client device to determine a user is traveling on a mass-transit vehicle and to dispatch a transportation vehicle for pickup of the user at a pickup location corresponding to a mass-transit station. To coordinate matching a user with a transportation vehicle, the methods, non-transitory computer readable media, and systems determine an estimated transit time of a user to one (or both) of the mass-transit station and the pickup location and select a transportation vehicle positioned to arrive at the pickup location by the estimated transit time.

  • Publication number: 20080288347
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for selecting advertising keywords for advertising campaigns. A set of keywords is identified from a dynamic data set. The dynamic data is generated from at least one data source which is updated via the Internet substantially in real time. Each keyword in the set of keywords is characterized in the dynamic data set by a current relevancy measure not yet apparent from conventional search engine databases. A subset of the keywords is selected for use in the advertising campaigns with reference to at least one current market condition relating to each selected keyword. Advertising campaigns are initiated for each of the selected keywords.

  • Publication number: 20060004691
Abstract: Techniques are described for effecting data aggregation in a network. Event notifications are received from a plurality of content sites on the network. Each event notification indicates occurrence of an event associated with a corresponding one of the content sites. Each event corresponds to a change to content associated with the corresponding content site. In response to each event notification, event metadata are generated. The event metadata include a time stamp for the event and change data corresponding to the change to the content. The event metadata are indexed in a plurality of databases with reference to a plurality of index metrics including the time stamp. The indexing of the event metadata for each event occurs within days, hours, or even minutes of receipt of the corresponding event notification thereby enabling retrieving of the changes to the content from the plurality of databases using any of the index metrics in near real time.
