Abstract: A heater for human comfort and homeostasis is made by using a thermal laser. The heat from the thermal laser is pointed precisely with optics such as lenses and reflectors. The apparatus may be pointed with an automated pan-and-tilt. It may be targeted by a camera or similar sensor. It can turn its power levels up or down, or off, in response to the data from the sensor. The precision with which the source can be aimed leads to a higher proportion of photons hitting the target than with current heaters. This heater also maintains the power density of the photons impinging on the target or anything else within safety limits.
