Abstract: A method and system for signature collection and management in support of public initiatives are described. The described techniques allow an individual to submit a signature collection request in response to an initiative soliciting support. Collection requests are accumulated and used to direct collection agents to visit individuals and collect their signatures. A list of individuals indicating support for a public initiative may be identified, the list including availability information and a geographic location associated with each of the individuals, and a current geographic location of a mobile device may be determined. A subset of the individuals may be selected from the list based on the current geographic location, the availability information, and the geographic locations associated with the plurality of individuals. A route between geographic locations associated with at least two individuals of the subset of the plurality of individuals may be generated, and the route may be output.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for ensuring even and consistent application of a treating agent onto a fiber web. The method of the invention improves coating agent deposition process such that the fiber web is evenly coated using less raw material by improving the deposition method and atomization quality, better control of the deposition rate and improving the adhesion properties. The method collects a treating agent in a chamber directing the agent through a linear continuous nozzle onto a fiber web. The treating agent is electrostatically charged and ultrasonically nebulized before being directed towards the fiber web.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system and method for capturing and utilizing communication preferences of recipients of certain communications, and more particularly to a system and method for providing a recipient or consumer with a single site or single source for selectively choosing which mail, telephone, or email solicitations the consumer would like to receive, the frequency and format of how those solicitations are received, and then eliminating others. The system and method is applicable to a wide variety of mail, telephone and email solicitations including, but not limited to, catalogs, financial and credit card solicitations, personal and professional services solicitations, and store or coupon mailers.
