  • Patent number: 11629865
Abstract: An apparatus for dehumidifying ambient atmospheric air includes a first air path and a second air path. A heat exchanger system transfers at least a portion of radiated thermal energy to air drawn along the first air path to heat the air in the first air path and transfers at least a portion of the thermal energy from exhaust gas to air drawn along the first air path to heat the air in the first air path. The first air path connects the ambient atmosphere to a reactivation air outlet through the heat exchanger system and a desiccant in a second moisturized state, and the second air path connects the ambient atmosphere to a dried air outlet through the desiccant in a first dried state.

  • Publication number: 20220061361
Abstract: A food processing facility having application apparatus located within the interior space of the food processing facility for applying a PAA solution to food, a mixing container for containing a PAA solution having a PAA solution concentration, with the mixing container connected to the application apparatus for delivering the PAA solution to the application apparatus, and a PAA gas sensor, located within the interior space, for sensing a PAA airborne concentration. An actuation control system connected to the PAA gas sensor is adapted to receive a measure of the PAA airborne concentration and, when the measure of the PAA airborne concentration exceeds a reference value, changes one or more of the PAA solution concentration of the PAA solution in the mixing container, the flow rate of the fresh air ventilation system, and the flow rate of the exhaust air system.

  • Publication number: 20200217526
Abstract: An apparatus for dehumidifying ambient atmospheric air comprising an enclosure assembly configured to define a first air path and a second air path, and containing a moisture-absorbing desiccant having a first dried state and a second moisturized state. The apparatus features a heat exchanger system including first means for (a) receiving radiated thermal energy from an internal combustion engine, and (b) transferring at least a portion of the radiated thermal energy to air drawn along the first air path to heat the air in the first air path; and second means for (a) receiving exhaust gas containing thermal energy from an internal combustion engine, and (b) transferring at least a portion of the thermal energy from the exhaust gas to air drawn along the first air path to heat the air in the first air path.

  • Publication number: 20190318029
Abstract: Product recommendations are selected according to a model. Product recommendations may be annotated with rules of the model used to select the products. A user may modify the model and be provided with a URL and a cookie associated with the modified model. Subsequent requests or the URL and presenting the cookie are processed using the modified model. A context may be associated with the cookie and modified by the user to observe performance of the model for the context. An interface may permit a user to specify rules for the model or otherwise model its behavior. User interactions with a website result in recommendations according to the model. A journey is recorded that records content, recommendations, and parameters of the model corresponding to the recommendations. The journeys of users may be filtered and visually presented to a user.

  • Publication number: 20070089093
Abstract: A system and method for determining software maturity is disclosed. The method may include building an uncensored belief distribution from a set of observed test data, building a belief distribution based on one or more improvement factors, convoluting the uncensored belief distribution with the belief distribution on improvement factors to form a joined-censored-belief distribution, and translating the joint belief distribution into an a priori belief distribution to assess a level of software maturity.

  • Patent number: 6505088
Abstract: An electronic controller (10) having one or two rotational position detectors (48), a tilt/shake sensor (50), and optional press controls (18). A user may rotate control knobs (14) causing the position detectors (48) to create rotation signals (80) from which the amount of rotation can be resolved and the direction of rotation detected. Tilting or shaking of the electronic controller (10) causes the tilt/shake sensor (50) to create a tilt/shake signal (84), and pressing (or releasing) the press controls (18) can create press signals (82). A processor system (46) processes and integrates all of these signals (80, 82, 84) into a data signal (86) which is communicated over a communications interface (16) to a computerized device or system employing the electronic controller (10) as an input device or system.
