  • Patent number: 9166442
Abstract: A system includes a voltage regulator module, a voltage comparator module, and a current limiting module. The voltage regulator module regulates an input voltage supplied by a power supply and supplies an output current to a load. The voltage comparator module compares the input voltage to a first threshold. The current limiting module decreases the output current when the input voltage decreases to less than or equal to the first threshold, decreases the output current until the input voltage increases to greater than the first threshold, and decreases the output current by an additional predetermined amount after the input voltage increases to greater than the first threshold.

  • Publication number: 20070000171
Abstract: The invented plant seedling pot includes an elongate hollow body including a base region and a base substantially sealing the base region of the hollow body. The hollow body preferably is slightly uniformly tapered upwardly and outwardly from the base and has a nominal height and width, the ratio between which is greater than approximately 2.5:1 and preferably approximately 3:1. The interior of the hollow body is dimensioned to contain a substantial portion of a plant seedling including a root ball and an elongate trunk. A preferably regular array of plural instances of the pot preferably are molded from an organic fiber mesh including, for example, coconut fiber and a binder.

  • Patent number: 4663697
Abstract: A fluorescent lantern supports a pair of fluorescent tubes for vertical sliding movement so that the tubes can be replaced simply by removing the cover of the lantern and withdrawing the tubes. Each of the fluorescent tubes is supported in a socket in the base of the lantern and extends upwardly through an opening in the top of the lantern. The cover is removably attached to the top by tabs so that the cover can be removed by rotating and lifting the cover. When the cover is removed, the fluorescent tubes can be withdrawn upwardly through the openings in the top. The base includes a battery compartment for a battery power source, and the battery compartment is closed by a battery cover which is removably attached to the base by tabs so that the cover can be removed by rotating and withdrawing the cover.
