A rotation mechanism is arranged in the container and when actuated, rotates the twisting assembly relative to the stationary support member while the twisting assembly engages with the tubing to thereby form a twist in the tubing.

Abstract: A geared rotating cartridge for a waste disposal device having a geared rotation mechanism comprising an assembly of gears mounted on the device. The outside wall of the cartridge comprises a plurality of projections forming the teeth of a circumferential gear. The circumferential gear is operatively positioned thereon to interact with the assembly of gears of the geared rotation mechanism to allow for rotation of the cartridge directly by the geared rotation mechanism.

Abstract: A waste disposal device including a sensing mechanism for delaying the rotation of a cartridge. The waste disposal device comprises a container defining a waste chamber for receiving encapsulated waste in a flexible tubing. The rotatable cartridge contains the flexible tubing. A lid is coupled to the device and is capable of moving between an open and closed position on the container. A rotation mechanism is operatively configured to engage the rotatable cartridge. A sensing mechanism is arranged to allow for delay in rotation of the cartridge until the lid assumes the closed position so that the waste is encapsulated in the flexible tubing after the closing of the lid, and after the subsequent twisting of the flexible tubing about the waste material caused by the rotation of the cartridge.

Abstract: Monitor stand for supporting a monitor includes a base having a monitor support section defining a substantially flat, upward facing surface adapted to support the monitor and at least one accessory support section, at least one monitor stand accessory, and a cooperating attachment arrangement arranged in connection with the base and each accessory for removably attaching each accessory to a respective accessory support section. The cooperating attachment arrangement may be a female connector arranged on each accessory section and a male connector arranged in connection with each accessory, or vice versa. Exemplifying, non-limiting types of accessories include a shelf accessory, a document holder accessory, a lamp assembly and a multi-section browser/sorter accessory.

Abstract: Tissue box including a top panel, at least one side panel and a bottom panel defining an r compartment receivable of tissues. A raised shelf is formed in the compartment above the bottom panel for supporting the tissues in a position closer to the top panel than if the tissues were supported on the bottom panel. The bottom panel includes perforation lines enabling the formation of flaps capable of extending inward into the compartment when the perforation lines are severed. When the flaps are formed, the raised shelf is provided by the upper edges of the flaps. A separate tissue support platform can be arranged inside the compartment and supported on and/or by the flaps.

A rotation mechanism is operatively configured to the waste disposal device for rotating either the cartridge or the diaphragm while impeding the rotation of the other. The twisting of the flexible sealably encapsulates a waste package inserted into the flexible tubing through an opening in the cartridge.

Abstract: A waste disposal device including a turntable for twisting a flexible tubing dispensed from a cartridge. The cartridge comprises a rigid body formed by a central tubular core open at top and bottom. A surrounding casing wall is positioned to provide a space between the tubular core and the casing wall and a base wall joining a lower end of the surrounding casing wall to the lower end of said tubular core. A length of flexible tubing is packed profusely in a tightly layered mass in the space to constitute a pack surrounding the tubular core positioned in a housing within the waste disposal device. A turntable mechanism is positioned interior to the cartridge housing comprising a support flange. The turntable mechanism is operatively configured to allow for rotation of the flexible tubing dispensed from the cartridge when said flexible tubing contains waste material.

In addition to or instead of the variable longitudinal spacing, one cutting blade is movable transversely relative to the other to enable variation in the transverse spacing between the cutting blades. Other cutting devices include a housing defining a blade-receiving cavity, an actuating mechanism pivotally mounted to the housing and a cutting assembly arranged in the cavity and including cutting blades. The cutting assembly is rotatable relative to the housing to selectively bring each cutting blade into a cutting position, and has a relaxed position in which the cutting blades are recessed within an outer periphery of the housing. The cutting assembly is biased into this relaxed position.

The vent includes a first member connectable to the wall in engagement with the duct, a second member rotatably connected to and at least partially in front of the first member and at least one flap pivotally mounted to the second member. Upon rotation of the second member relative to the first member, a pivot axis of each flap is adjustable, e.g., to provide a horizontal pivot axis. Thus, even though the first member is first mounted to the wall, the second member is rotatable relative thereto and this relative rotation enables the orientation or pivot axis of the flap(s) to be adjustable. Accordingly, the first member can be mounted to the wall without concern as to how the flap(s) will be oriented.

Abstract: An integrated cutting system for a waste disposal device comprising a waste storage receptacle and a film cutting and sealing device. A cartridge containing a continuous length of film is positioned over the receptacle. The integrated cutting system further includes an activation mechanism operatively configured to alternatively engage a cutting device or a film sealing device capable of twistably sealing the film of the cartridge when the film is dispensed from the cartridge. A selection mechanism is arranged to control the activation mechanism to either engage the cutting device while deactivating the film sealing device, or to engage the film sealing device while deactivating the cutting device. The cutting device comprises a blade positioned to sever the film from the cartridge.
