In one case, a first filament is attached to the first end of the drug reservoir and second filament is attached to the second end of the drug reservoir, wherein a fastener is positioned about the first and second filaments to permit shortening and prevent lengthening of the filaments with reference to the ends of the drug reservoir, as a means for transforming the device from the implantation shape to the retention shape.

Abstract: A method of transmitting data from a source to a destination is described. A quality of service (QoS) tunnel is established between the source and the destination. Traffic from the source, and intended for the destination, will be sent via this tunnel. The traffic is manipulated by passing it through a performance enhancement proxy (PEP), in order to eliminate the “slow start” mechanism inherent to TCP traffic.

Abstract: A cyclostationary signature is artificially created in a multi-carrier signal. In one embodiment, a multi-carrier Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) signal is used. The approach involves mapping a set of one or more of the sub-carriers onto a second set such that any data symbols transmitted on the first set is are simultaneously transmitted on the second set. In this way, those spectral components of the signal will be identical and a spectral correlation pattern will have been created. This spectral correlation pattern comprises the cyclostationary signature. An artificial cyclostationary signature embedded in this way is continuously present in the transmitted data-carrying signal and so can be considered a type of signal watermark. By detecting and examining this watermark, a communications receiver can determine key properties of the signal and use those properties to achieve a number of critical tasks.

Abstract: Disclosed inter alia is the use of quinazolinone derivatives, which are modulators of a mitotic kinesin such as KSP, in the treatment of cellular proliferative diseases. The quinazolinone derivatives are administered with another chemotherapeutic agent selected from alkylating agents, antimetabolites, platinating agents, topoisomerase inhibitors, tubulin agents and signalling inhibitors (e.g., kinase inhibitors). Pharmaceutical compositions comprising one or both types of active agents are also disclosed.
