  • Publication number: 20200156667
Abstract: The present invention provides a railway wagon (100) comprising: a pair of bogies (106a, 106b), each bogie having wheels (108) configured in use to run on rails; a frame (104) supported by the pair of bogies (106a, 106b); and a bin (102) supported by the frame (104). The bin (102) has: a base portion (110) defining at least one catchment area (124); a substantially upright first end wall (114a); a substantially upright second end wall (114b) two longitudinal sidewalls (116a, 116b) extending between the first end wall (114a) and the second end wall (114b); an interior volume (118) for carrying product therein, the interior volume (118) being at least substantially defined by the first end wall (114a), the second end wall (114b), the two longitudinal sidewalls (116a, 166b), and the base portion (110); and an opening (120) opposite the base portion (110).

  • Publication number: 20110036280
Abstract: A small scale integrated waste processing system for the thermal destructions of waste. The system comprises a compactor (12) for densifying waste and expressing air, a pyrolyzer (13) to receive waste delivered from the compactor, a gasifier (14) with an ash vessel (23) that receives dried waste, and an oxidizer (15) receiving gas from the gasifier to be combusted. Heat energy from the oxidizer can be routed back to the pyrolyzer.

  • Publication number: 20050068020
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of determining a current in a conductor. The method comprises the steps of determining the nth spatial derivative of at least one vector component of the magnetic field associated with the current at at least one position and calculating the current from the nth spatial derivative. The present invention also provides an apparatus for determining a current in a conductor. The apparatus comprises a means for determining at least one vector component of the magnetic field associated with the current at at least two different positions and a means for determining the nth spatial derivative of at least one vector component of the magnetic field from the or each vector component of the magnetic field measured at the at least two positions. The apparatus also comprises a means for calculating the current from the nth spatial derivative.

  • Patent number: 4093158
Abstract: An aircraft instrument comprising equipment for providing a first signal which is a function of airspeed and suitable for use in controlling an aircraft by variation of the airspeed to a predetermined value, an apparatus for providing a second signal which is a function of lift and suitable for use in controlling the aircraft by variation of the airspeed to adjust the lift to a predetermined value, and a selecting apparatus arranged to apply the second signal to a signal utilization mechanism for controlling the aircraft in accordance with said second signal except when said second signal falls below a predetermined datum level, which represents a safe margin above stall, whereupon the first signal is applied to the signal utilization mechanism, the selecting apparatus being arranged to provide a transition between control by the first signal and control by the second signal which is shorter than a transition between control by the second signal and control by the first signal.
