  • Patent number: 6434388
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cordless communication system with high user capacity, especially cordless communication systems operating under the DECT standard. This system comprises fixed or mobile terminals (T1, T2, T3, T4), radio sets (B1, B2, B3) with which the terminals can communicate, and radio controllers (CR1, CR2) linked groupwise to the radio sets. The collection of radio controllers manages the collection of radio sets. Each terminal continually examines the state of the radio set, saturated or otherwise, onto which it is locked, and then, if the radio set is saturated, triggers a new operation of locking onto another radio set.

  • Patent number: 6275487
Abstract: The invention concerns a BCCH carrier transmitted by a base station of a digital cellular mobile radio system. The BCCH carrier is segmented temporally into frames each divided into a particular number NIT of time slots. The BCCH carrier supports a physical BCCH itself carrying at least one logical BCCH transmitting BCCH information. Each mobile station, for which the base station transmitting said BCCH carrier is an adjoining base station, has at least one monitoring window in each of at least NT successive frames, where NT≧1, i.e. at least NF successive monitoring windows each enabling the mobile station concerned to receive at least NE time slots of the BCCH carrier, where NE≧1. The BCCH carrier supports at least NR physical BCCH transmitted at constant power and consisting in the recurrence in each frame of NR BCCH time slots. The or each of the NR physical BCCH carries at least the logical BCCH, each BCCH time slot containing the BCCH information at least once in NT successive frames.
