  • Patent number: 6077359
Abstract: A method of treatment of printed circuit boards or conductor films with a chemical, electrolytic, or rinsing treatment liquid, and to a device for carrying out the method, where the printed circuit boards or conductor films are transported in a horizontal direction by transport means, In order to accelerate these processes, the surfaces of the printed circuit boards or conductor films must be exposed to a macroflow in order to apply active treatment liquid. Furthermore, the micromaterial exchange into the diffusion layer must be reinforced. This exchange is brought about by the use of hydrodynamically acting cavitation generators, which form cavitation bubbles in the liquid jets. The treatment liquid is set into an eddy current movement in the generators because the treatment liquid is applied at high pressure in a circuit through the nozzles generating the cavitation bubbles, and is conveyed to the surface in a large quantity.

  • Patent number: 6059919
Abstract: There are described a method and a device for uniform chemical detachment of layers of resist in the form of easily-filtered particles from plate-shaped surfaces of a material for electroplating. The method is preferably used in horizontal continuous systems in printed circuit board technology. According to prior art, spraying and squirting processes are used for resist stripping. Disadvantageous among other things is the short service life of the bath due to the resist which cannot be entirely filtered out of the solution due to dissolution. According to the invention, the resist is detached from the surfaces of the printed circuit boards with only moderately flowing treatment liquids. In the first process stage a large quantity of treatment liquid is applied in a wave for swelling to the surfaces of the printed circuit boards by means of longitudinally-extended wave nozzles. in the second stage, for film detachment, wave nozzles having pressure in suction areas are preferably used.

  • Patent number: 5599444
Abstract: An apparatus for removing polymer particles from the stripping solution used in the treatment of printed wireboards comprises passing a solution having resist particles dispersed therein over a screen having openings of 100 microns, where the screen is maintained at an angle of from 40 to 70.degree. to the horizontal. The apparatus comprises a curtain tube consisting of an inner concentric tube with a plurality of holes and an outer concentric tube with a slot wherein the position of the slot is adjustable, a filter comprising a screen, and a pump for circulating the solution. In one embodiment, the filter comprises a cylindrical screen. The stripping solution comprises an aqueous solution of an organoamine, ionic nitrogen compound or alkali or alkaline-earth hydroxide, or mixtures thereof.
