  • Patent number: 5269515
Abstract: A game racket stringing machine comprises a machine body and a string-pulling gear. The machine body has a base comprising a main rod and two secondary rods which are pivoted respectively to the undersides of both ends of the main rod. The secondary rods can be rotated to overlap with the main rod so that the machine body can be reduced in volume. The string-holding gear comprises a rotatable wheel, two string-holding members, a tension rod, a weight fastened to the tension rod, and at least one elastic element which is disposed between the rotatable wheel and the string-holding members. The elastic element causes the string-holding members to move back to a specified position so as to release automatically the string which is held securely by the string-holding members.

  • Patent number: 5186505
Abstract: An improved chucking device for a racket stringing machine is mounted on the chucking arm of the racket stringing machine. The chucking arm comprises a sliding track located at the place where the chucking device is mounted and two lugs extending downward from the bottom surface thereof and by both sides of the sliding track. Each chucking device comprises a sliding block having a predetermined number of arresting holes, a clamping block disposed on the sliding block to fasten a racket frame, a pivotal member having a threaded hole, a threaded rod inserted into the threaded hole of the pivotal member in an inclined manner so that it urges against the arresting hole of the sliding block, and a torsion spring located between the pivotal member and the lugs so as to permit the threaded rod to keep urging against the arresting hole.

  • Patent number: 4706955
Abstract: A racket stringing machine comprises a support frame, a tension head assembly, a lateral clamp head and a longitudinal clamp head. Movement of the tension head assembly is controlled by a brake motor which is controlled by the signals transferred from a limit switch. The limit switch is normally pressed by a contact element and released when a string clamp head pivoted on the tension head assembly is spring biassed to pivot away from the clamping frame and a contact element fixed on the string clamp head is separated from the limit switch. The lateral clamp head comprises two lateral clamp arms for clamping the lateral sides of a racket frame to be strung by a pivotal movement accomplished by an actuating block sliding along a rotating bolt. The longitudinal clamp head comprises a clamping sheet with a rack extending downward from the bottom surface for meshing with a sector gear so as to be rotated by a handle in order to clamp the upper surface of the racket frame.
