  • Publication number: 20240139516
Abstract: A system includes memory, and processing circuitry coupled to the memory, the processing circuitry configured to: determine at least one of: a cross-electrical signal measurement at a first electrode on a first lead implanted within a tongue of the patient based on a stimulation signal between a second electrode on the first lead or a second lead implanted within the tongue of the patient and a third electrode, or a strain measurement of at least one of the first lead or the second lead. The processing circuitry is configured to determine movement of the tongue based on at least one of the cross-electrical signal measurement or the strain measurement, and generate information indicative of the movement of the tongue.

  • Publication number: 20090245698
Abstract: A pre-made, flexible, plastic bag in the shape of a triangle for the storage of a food product more specifically designed for a slice of pizza pie or similarly shaped items that have been leftover. The bag comprises of one triangular, transparent, sheet plastic type material being placed on top of another identical piece of the same material. The sides will be attached together from the vertex to the base. The base will have a resealable opening similar to a zip-lock type strip where the user will have access to place the food item into the bag prior to closure. The bag then can be placed and stored in the refrigerator or freezer for later consumption. After consumption, the bag should be disposed of properly.

  • Patent number: 5349972
Abstract: A cosmetic product package, particularly a mascara package, including a dual wiper mechanism which virtually eliminates the messiness problems of typical mascara applicators. The dual wiper mechanism has a resilient inner wiper and a resilient outer wiper spaced apart from one another within a supporting structure forming a residual mascara chamber therebetween. The inner wiper has a relatively small opening which provides most of the doctoring of the bristles. The outer wiper has a larger opening which primarily doctors the stem. Mascara which collects in the residual chamber flows through conduits around the inner wiper back into the primary reservoir, or alternatively to a discard reservoir. A mechanism to doctor more mascara from the brush upon insertion than upon removal of the brush may also be provided.

  • Patent number: 5099898
Abstract: What is provided is a combination golf club cover and beverage insulator which comprises a unitary device. The outer cover has two sections, a first section which receives the golf club head, and a second section which houses the insulating device which receives the beverage. The insulator is a cylindrical sleeve open at both ends which allows the club to pass through the insulator to the furthermost portion of the golf club cover. Once the cover is removed, a beverage can conveniently be placed within the insulator.

  • Patent number: 4994367
Abstract: A first aspect of the present invention is a blood platelet preparation comprising blood platelets, an adenylate cyclase stimulator, a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, a thrombin inhibitor, and a plasmin inhibitor. A second aspect of the present invention is a plasma-free platelet storage medium containing dextrose, sodium citrate, sodium bicarbonate, and a platelet activation inhibitor, with a preferred platelet activation inhibitor comprising an adenylate cyclase stimulator in combination with a phosphodiesterase inhibitor. A third aspect of the present invention is a process for producing a plasma-free platelet preparation comprising producing platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from whole blood, adding a platelet activation inhibitor thereto, centrifuging the PRP to deposit the platelets on the bottom of the centrifuge container, removing the platelet-free plasma supernatant therefrom and adding a plasma-free liquid platelet storage medium thereto.
