  • Patent number: 5431403
Abstract: A golf putting device having a perfect surface to simulate a three foot putt on an actual outdoor putting green, enabling a golfer to develop a proper and consistent three foot putting stroke and develop proper muscle memory therefrom. The surface includes an adjustment and a level indicator to enable the surface to be located precisely level on any reasonably flat support surface and hole width restrictors to narrow the hole width while maintaining the hole depth constant. The surface is slightly raised and formed with a nap surface to more accurately simulate the conditions encountered on an actual putting green.

  • Patent number: 5039098
Abstract: A golf club wherein the club head and shaft are interchangeable using a quick connect-disconnect coupling between the club shaft and the club head. The coupling includes means for aligning and preventing rotation between the club head and shaft including an angular alignment surface on the lower end of the shaft which cooperates with an angular alignment stop formed within the heel of the golf club head. The coupling further includes a means for connecting the shaft to the golf club head when the shaft is in place within the heel of the club head.

  • Patent number: 4754976
Abstract: A putter type golf club including a head, shaft and ball striking face, having its center of mass disposed at least 10 cm. behind the striking face creating an improved effective polar moment of inertia and a "shaft-force axis" disposed at a position relative to the center of mass creating a "self-aligning-stability" force throughout the acceleration portion of the putting stroke, wherein most of the head is made of lightweight material and a heavy weight is disposed in the head at a rearward location, at a substantial distance behind both the club head percussion center and the polar shaft axis.

  • Patent number: 4688798
Abstract: A putter type golf club alignment system wherein a ball to be struck forms an extension of the alignment indicia on the golf club to provide an indication that the putter head is properly aligned with the ball and the intended target line, including a putter club head, having an upper surface, and a ball striking face wherein the upper surface of the club head is provided with a plurality of simulated golf balls aligned in a row perpendicular to the ball striking face, the simulated balls in use forming a straight line row with the ball to be struck when the putter is properly aligned.

  • Patent number: 4437669
Abstract: A golf putting stroke practice track contoured to follow the putter head during a putting stroke. The track includes a series of indicia which cooperate with indicia on the putter head adapted to indicate the rotational position of the putter head relative to the putting track. The rails of the track are L-shaped in cross section and are also adjustable with respect to each other in order that precise tolerances may be maintained between the putter head and the track rails so any divergence from a straight line by the putter head will result in the putter head contacting the track rails and providing an audible and tactual signal thereof. The legs and the spacer bars of the putting track are secured in rectangular connector blocks having at least two sockets; one for a leg and a second for a spacer bar. The legs and spacer bars are easily removed from the blocks to disassemble the putting track.

  • Patent number: 4251077
Abstract: A target alignment system for use with a golf club for determining the precise clubface angle relative to a target path in the direction which a ball is intended to travel. The system provides an indication of the clubface angle during address of the club behind the ball and an indication of the clubface angle at the moment of impact when the ball is struck. The system includes a light source and optics for projecting a light beam, a reflecting surface of the golf club for reflecting the light beam to an array of photodetectors, and a display which is energized in accordance with the measured clubface angle.

  • Patent number: 4130282
Abstract: A putting system for practicing and playing golf whereby a golfer is able to use the same putter in both a practice and playing mode. The club is adapted to be used with two interchangeable attachments. A first attachment provides spaced elements which are positioned on the striking face of the club to restrict the effective hitting area around the center of percussion of the club. The second attachment is interchangeable with the first and leaves the striking face of the club unobstructed while maintaining the same mass and weight characteristic to the club.

  • Patent number: 4025078
Abstract: An attachment for a golf club designed to be used as a practice device whereby it is attached to a golf club in a practice mode and restricts the area on the striking face of the club where a ball may be properly struck by a pair of upstanding blades which extend across the club striking face equidistant from the effective center of percussion or sweet spot of the club.
