Abstract: A video cassette adapter including: a housing having a receptacle for receiving a VHS-C video cassette; a first and a second tape conducting members pivotally disposed in two lateral sections of the housing for drawing the tape of the video cassette outward to an opening of a front section of the housing: a tape rolling reel disposed in the housing; a gear set operatively connected with the tape rolling reel; an operation button slidably disposed on and extended into the housing; a driving lever operatively connected with the first tape conducting member and the gear set; a damper mechanism disposed between the gear set and the driving lever; a transmission mechanism for driving the second tape conducting member; a linkage lever disposed between the first tape conducting member and the transmission mechanism; and a spring connected between the housing and the driving lever to help in retrieving the tape.

Abstract: A video cassette adapter includes a motor powered by a battery to drive two tape-driving members to move toward an operative position and automatically pull a tape of the cassette placed in the adpater out of the cassette for playing or recording operation or move toward a non operative position and automatically pull the tape back into the cassette. A selective power-transmitting mechanism according to the clockwise or counterclockwise rotational motion of the motor selectively transmits the power of the motor to the tape-driving members so as to automatically conduct and pull the tape out of the cassette to the operative position or transmits the power of the motor to the cassette so as to automatically wind the tape from the operative position of the adapter back into the cassette.

Abstract: An auto rewinder for a video cassette includes a base, a tape leading mechanism mounted on the base for leading a portion of the tape out of the cassette, a locking mechanism to prevent the actuation of the tape leading mechanism when no tape cassette is loaded in the rewinder, a delay breaker mechanism for delaying the cutting off of the power supply to the motor to permit the tape to be drawn back into the cassette after rewinding has been completed. An ejection mechanism for automatically ejecting the cassette, the ejection mechanism being activated by increased tension in a spindle drive belt when rewinding is completed.

Abstract: A dual direction transmission device of a video cassette rewinder includes a pivoting member pivotably mounted on a base of a video cassette rewinder, a motor mounted at one end of the pivoting member. There are three pulleys in which two of the pulleys are coaxially and rotatably mounted at a first position on the base, and the other pulley is rotatably mounted at a second position on the base. There are two belts operatively connecting those pulleys. There are two dual direction transmission mechanism operatively mounted between two spindles and those pulleys respectively. Thus, the dual direction transmission device may occupy less space.
