  • Patent number: 12491450
Abstract: A modular water purification system comprising an evaporation assembly, a condensation assembly, and a waterproof enclosure The evaporation assembly is heated primarily by sun heat, with optional supplementary heating. The condensation assembly converts water vapor to liquid, optionally aided by external power. The waterproof enclosure covers and seals the condensation assembly and the evaporation assembly to prevent external contamination defining a water purification device. The water purification device includes an inlet for the water source and an outlet from the condenser reservoir. The modular water purification system allows for vertical stacking, enabling simultaneous increase in water elevation and purity as it progresses through the stack.

  • Patent number: 11908027
Abstract: Methods and systems that allow a recipient to electronically receive documents and accept service of process include receiving personally identifiable information about the recipient, generating a retrieval code specific to the recipient and/or the documents, and causing the retrieval code to be displayed on a page or device for delivery to the recipient. Later, the methods and systems receive user input including the retrieval code, verify that the user is the recipient, provide the recipient access to the electronic documents, and offer the recipient electronic delivery of the electronic documents. If the recipient agrees to the offer of electronic delivery, the methods and systems cause the electronic documents to be electronically delivered to the recipient; and after they deliver the documents in full, they present an acceptance document acknowledging and accepting the service of the electronic documents upon the recipient, and ask the recipient to execute it.

  • Publication number: 20220014927
Abstract: Various arrangements for using a subscriber identification module (SIM) card for authentication on a wireless network are detailed herein. A DKi (delta Ki) value can be stored by a SIM card. The SIM card can calculate a FKi (full Ki) value using the DKi value and a BKi value. The SIM card can be used to attach to the wireless network, wherein the SIM card is installed within a wireless device. The SIM card can receive a challenge from the wireless network. The SIM card can calculate an answer to the challenge using the FKi value. The answer can then be transmitted to the wireless network.

  • Patent number: 11166163
Abstract: Various arrangements for using a SIM card across multiple wireless networks are presented. A DKi value may be stored by the SIM card. The SIM card may calculated a FKi value using the DKi value and a stored BKi value. The SIM card can attach to a guest wireless network. A challenge may be received by the SIM card from the guest wireless network. The SIM card may calculate an answer to the challenge using the FKi value. The answer may be transmitted to the wireless network. In response to the answer being correct, the wireless device having the SIM card installed is successfully authenticated to use the wireless network.

  • Patent number: 9161296
Abstract: Various arrangements for permitting a wireless device occasional access to a wireless network are described. Some arrangements for assigning a single MSISDN to multiple wireless devices are described. In such arrangements, the wireless devices may be associated with different visitor location registers. In some arrangements, a wireless device-initiated bearer service is initiated based on input from a remote system. In some arrangements, a wireless device is authenticated based on whether data needs to be sent to and/or received from the wireless device.

  • Patent number: 8929863
Abstract: Various arrangements for temporarily enabling the wireless device for use on a wireless network are presented. A computer system may store a plurality of international mobile subscriber identities (IMSIs) and, associated with each IMSI of the plurality of IMSIs, an indication of a period of time of a predefined length. An authentication request indicating an IMSI of the plurality of IMSIs may be received from a wireless device, wherein the wireless device has not previously been authenticated in association with the IMSI. The IMSI may be authenticated for use on the wireless network. After authorizing the IMSI for use on the wireless network device, the period of time of the predefined length associated with the IMSI may be determined to have expired. In response to determining the period of time of the predefined length associated with the IMSI has expired, the IMSI may be deauthorized for use on the wireless network.

  • Patent number: 8559930
Abstract: Tools and techniques for activating a wireless device on a wireless network and/or for providing a wireless device with occasional access to a wireless network. In an aspect, such tools can provide a wireless device with a temporary addressing number to allow the wireless device to send data to the network; this temporary addressing number, then, can be recycled to be used by another wireless device for accessing the network.

  • Patent number: 8463258
Abstract: Various arrangements for activating a wireless device on a wireless network are presented. A request to attach to the wireless network may be received from the wireless device. The request may specify an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI). An authentication message may be transmitted to a detection device of the wireless network. The IMSI may be compared to a set of stored blocked IMSIs. Each IMSI of the set of stored blocked IMSIs may be prohibited from being used to access the wireless network. It may be determined that the wireless device may that corresponds to the IMSI is permitted to be attached to the wireless network. In response to determining the wireless device is permitted to attach to the wireless network, authentication of the wireless device may occur.

  • Publication number: 20120184274
Abstract: Tools and techniques for activating a wireless device on a wireless network. In an aspect, such tools can allow an unactivated wireless device (that is, a wireless device that generally would be inoperable on a wireless network) to be given limited functionality in order to activate itself on the network. In some cases, such tools can be implemented within business processes to generate revenue streams for entities involved in the wireless activation process.
