  • Patent number: 9858929
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for transcription error reduction is provided. A transcribed value is assigned to each utterance obtained from a user during a call and a confidence score is assigned to each transcribed value. An accuracy threshold is applied to the confidence scores and the transcribed values that satisfy the accuracy threshold are incorporated in a message. A grouping is generated for at least one of the utterances associated with one such transcribed value that fails to satisfy the accuracy threshold. The grouping includes the at least one utterance and related utterances from other calls. Further transcribed values for at least a portion of the utterances in the grouping are received from human transcribers. The remaining utterances in the grouping are provided to the human transcribers when the further transcribed values differ. The further transcribed value for the at least one utterance is incorporated in the message.

  • Patent number: 9859695
Abstract: A structure for supporting a wire includes a first portion extending along a first axis. The first portion includes a body portion and an alignment portion. The alignment portion is removably coupled to the body portion. The first alignment opening extends between a first side and a second side of the alignment portion. The first side has a first surface portion and a second surface portion. The first surface portion is separated a first distance from the first axis. The second surface portion is separated a second distance from the first axis. The first distance is different than the second distance. The structure includes a second portion defining a second alignment opening through which the second portion receives the fastener. • Patent number: 9857458
Abstract: Apparatus for use in one of a plurality of sensors each having a respective transmitter which transmits pulses for sensing, a respective clock which controls timing of the pulses transmitted from the respective transmitter, and a respective receiver which receives echoed instances of the pulses. The apparatus comprises: sensing logic configured to sense a being or object in dependence on the echoed pulses received back by the respective receiver from the respective transmitter, and timing logic configured to compensate for a clock discrepancy between the respective clock and that of one or more others of the sensors. The timing logic does this by using the respective receiver to listen for instances of the pulses from the one or more other sensors, and adjusting the timing of the pulses from the respective transmitter based thereon.

  • Patent number: 9855023
Abstract: The control panel and display of a cart-borne ultrasound system are support by a lift which can be controlled to allow the control panel and display to be raised, lowered, and rotated. The lift has a first pivot elbow mounted to the ultrasound system cart and a second pivot elbow on which the control panel and display are mounted. A four-bar linkage is coupled between the pivot elbows which enables to control panel and display to be raised and lowered while maintaining the inclination of the control panel. The pivot elbows allow the control panel and display to be turned and rotated. A pair of hydraulic struts are mounted to the four-bar linkage to support the weight of the control panel and display. When a control button on the handle of the control panel is depressed the control panel and display can be freely raised, lowered and rotated. When the control button is released the pivot elbows and four-bar linkages are locked in their current positions.

  • Patent number: 9856084
Abstract: An inventory system includes an inventory holder that may be moved by a mobile drive unit. The inventory holder may hold inventory items. The mobile drive unit may move in a manner for facilitating a shift of position of at least one inventory item relative to the inventory holder. Such movement may be accomplished, for example, by accelerating, decelerating, turning while driving, spinning, dropping the inventory holder, or by causing at least one of the mobile drive unit or the inventory holder to at least one of interact with or engage an obstacle such as a bump over which the mobile drive unit drives, a bar positioned above a floor on which the mobile drive unit drives, a wall, another mobile drive unit, or another inventory holder.

In an exemplary embodiment, the solution extraction system comprises a first solution extraction circuit and a second solution extraction circuit. A first metal-bearing solution is provided to the first and second circuit, and a second metal-bearing solution is provided to the first circuit. The first circuit produces a first rich electrolyte solution, which can be forwarded to primary metal value recovery, and a low-grade raffinate, which is forwarded to secondary metal value recovery. The second circuit produces a second rich electrolyte solution, which is also forwarded to primary metal value recovery. The first and second solution extraction circuits have independent organic phases and each circuit can operate independently of the other circuit.

  • Patent number: 9855408
Abstract: A guidewire, methods of manufacture, and methods of use is described. The guidewire may include a core having one or more preformed ribs along a portion thereof. The ribs may form a portion of the outer surface of the guidewire or form a texture or shape of the outer surface of the guidewire. The ribs and outer texture of the guidewire can beneficially help the guidewire remain in a desired location in a body and help prevent or limit migration. Forming the ribs on the outer surface of the core may enable the guidewire to have greater rigidity and stiffness. The core may include a reduced diameter region distal of the ribs. The guidewire may include a cap over the reduced diameter region of the core.

  • Patent number: 9857267
Abstract: In one embodiment, a CO2 leak detection instrument detects leaks from a site (e.g., a CO2 sequestration facility) using rapid concentration measurements of CO2, O2 and optionally water concentration that are achieved, for example, using laser spectroscopy (e.g. direct absorption laser spectroscopy). Water vapor in the sample gas may not be removed, or only partially removed. The sample gas may be collected using a multiplexed inlet assembly from a plurality of locations. CO2 and O2 concentrations may be corrected based on the water concentration. A resulting dataset of the CO2 and O2 concentrations is analyzed over time intervals to detect any changes in CO2 concentration that are not anti-correlated with O2 concentration, and to identify a potential CO2 leak in response thereto. The analysis may include determining eddy covariance flux measurements of sub-surface potential carbon.

  • Patent number: 9858247
Abstract: A computing device includes a view control that manages presentation of electronic content on the computing device. The presentation can include displaying content, audibly playing back content, and so forth. The view control is made available to multiple different applications on the computing device. To use the view control, an application provides to the view control an indication of a resolver for the view control to use. The electronic document includes references to electronic content, and the view control requests the referenced electronic content from the resolver. The resolver obtains the referenced electronic content, decodes (e.g., decompresses, decrypts, etc.) the obtained electronic content, and returns the decoded electronic content to the view control for display or other presentation.
