  • Publication number: 20140122701
Abstract: A navigation to a plurality of visited web sites is traced and a navigation map is generated comprised of a node for each visited web site. Each node in the navigation map is connected by an edge to at least one other node in the navigation map, and the edge is associated with the link from the given visited web site to the next web site. For each visited web site, the corresponding node stores an address for the given web site, a time stamp of the visit to the given visited web site, a link from the given visited web site to a next web site and optionally a title of the web site. A keyword search of the nodes can be processed to identify a given web site in the navigation map. A signature portion of the given web site can be used to identify a new location of the given web site. A navigation map can be designated as a searchable public navigation map.

  • Publication number: 20140119333
Abstract: A method in a base station for handling a scheduling of a narrowband transmission from a user equipment in a cell served by the base station is provided. The base station and the user equipment are comprised in a cellular network. A time resource available for the scheduling is divided into available subframes. A frequency resource available for scheduling in each respective subframe is divided into available resource blocks. The base station selects a subframe among the subframes available for scheduling. Narrowband transmissions are to be prioritized for scheduling to the selected subframe. The base station schedules the transmission to a subset of the available resource blocks in the selected subframe when an indication that the transmission from the user equipment is a narrowband transmission is obtained.

  • Publication number: 20140120178
Abstract: The present invention provides a multi-component encapsulated reactive formulation comprising a mixture of two or more dry powder components, where each dry powder component is formed from a phase inversion process involving vigorous mixing. The dry powder is stabilized by hydrophobic colloidal particles, which assist in generating stable “dry water” microdroplets. One dry powder component comprises hydrophobic colloidal particles encapsulating microdroplets comprising an aqueous solution of one reactant, and the at least one other dry powder component comprises hydrophobic colloidal particles encapsulating microdroplets comprising an aqueous solution of another reactant. When the encapsulated formulation is agitated such that the encapsulates are broken, the encapsulates rupture and the two aqueous solutions undergo a reaction upon contact.

  • Publication number: 20140121854
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of methods and apparatuses to provide a cooling arrangement for a system are described. The system includes a component coupled to a heat sink. A signal associated with a temperature control of the component is asserted. A target temperature of the heat sink is adjusted based on the signal. In one embodiment, a temperature control loop of the heat sink is operated. The temperature of the heat sink may be monitored using one or more sensors placed on the heat sink. An operation of the component, a cooling unit coupled to the heat sink, or both, may be adjusted based on a relationship between the temperature of the heat sink and an adjusted target temperature. Adjusting the target temperature of the heat sink based on the asserted signal increases efficiency of the system while decreasing cooling.

  • Patent number: 8710424
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include an electron counter with a charge-coupled device (CCD) register configured to transfer electrons to a Geiger-mode avalanche diode (GM-AD) array operably coupled to the output of the CCD register. At high charge levels, a nondestructive amplifier senses the charge at the CCD register output to provide an analog indication of the charge. At low charge levels, noiseless charge splitters or meters divide the charge into single-electron packets, each of which is detected by a GM-AD that provides a digital output indicating whether an electron is present. Example electron counters are particularly well suited for counting photoelectrons generated by large-format, high-speed imaging arrays because they operate with high dynamic range and high sensitivity. As a result, they can be used to image scenes over a wide range of light levels.
