Abstract: A system and method for displaying a message in a user interface of a communication device is provided. Names, such as proper nouns, are identified within the message body and associated with a contact address. The contact address may be taken from an address book or other data store at the device, but may also be retrieved from another portion of the message in which the proper noun is identified. Contact addresses may be determined to be associated with an identified name due to proximity of the contact address to the name within the message body, or due to proximity of the contact address to another name within the message body, whether the other name matches the identified name. The associated contact address information may be embedded in the message and the message thus revised may be stored and forwarded to another recipient.

Abstract: A text communication, such as an email or blog posting from a user, is monitored to identify an issue. A score(s) of the text communication is determined by analyzing words/phrases in the text communication. A score can be based on various factors such as annoyance, language precision, help-ability, a communication length, and the like. A range for the score(s) is determined. When a response to the text communication is generated, a score(s) of the response to the text communication is determined. If one or more of the score(s) of the response is outside the range for the score(s), the response is rejected. Words/phrases are identified in the response to the text communication that can be changed in order to get the score(s) of the response within the range of the score(s) of the text communication. This information is displayed to an agent so an appropriate response can be formulated.

The unreacted acetic acid may be recovered as a dry acetic acid composition and may be directly or indirectly fed to the hydrogenation reactor.

Abstract: An electrosurgical instrument can comprise a handle, a shaft, and an end effector, wherein the end effector can be rotatably coupled to the shaft by an articulation joint. The instrument can further comprise a drive member and the articulation joint can comprise flexible support members which can be configured to support the drive member. The instrument can further comprise supply wires electrically coupled to electrodes in the end effector and a wire tensioning device configured to prevent the supply wires from accumulating slack within the articulation joint. The drive member can comprise a plurality of flexible layers wherein some of the layers can be comprised of an electrically insulative material and other layers can be comprised of an electrically conductive material which is in electrical communication with a cutting member in the end effector and/or electrodes positioned within the end effector.

Abstract: An edge finishing apparatus includes a surface, a fluid delivery device configured to deliver at least one magnetorheological polishing fluid (MPF) ribbon to the at least one well, at least one magnet placed adjacent to the surface to selectively apply a magnetic field in a vicinity of the surface, and at least one holder placed in opposing relation to the surface, the at least one holder being configured to support at least one article such that an edge of the at least one article can be selectively immersed in the MPF ribbon delivered to the at least one well.

Abstract: An integral weighing device for determining whether the weight of a luggage container and its contents exceed a maximum allowable amount simply by suspending the container by its handle. If the container weighs more than a set amount the integral weighing device provides a visual cue that the container exceeds the predefined weight. The integral weighing device comprises a torsion spring mounted within a housing, and a cord attached to each end of the torsion spring and fed via a guide-way through and out of the housing to an externally accessible grip handle. An indicator arm is rotationally mounted to the housing. When a person lifts the luggage by the grip handle the force is transferred to the torsion spring causing angular deflection toward the indicator arm. If the container exceeds the set weight the indicator arm provides a visual cue that the bag exceeds the predetermined weight.

Abstract: Certain example embodiments of this invention relate to the development of temperable UV blocking coatings having enhanced UV blocking efficiency and aesthetic appearance on stock sheets of glass substrates using large-scale wet coating manufacturing methods. A glass substrate is provided. A base coat is curtain coated on the glass substrate from a oxide precursor material including zinc, cerium, titanium, and silicon precursor materials. The base coat is cured. A top coat is roll coated, directly or indirectly, on the base coat, with the top coat being a sacrificial cross-linked organic polymer-based layer. The substrate is heat treated with the base coat and the top coat thereon. The base coat and the top coat are substantially uniform in thickness, and the heat treating removes substantially all of the top coat while causing substantially no cracking in the base coat.

A surgical dilation system includes a dilator having an outer tubular member and an inner tubular member sized to be movably received within an inside diameter of the outer tubular member. The outer tubular member includes a vertical slot running through a side of the outer tubular member. The inner tubular member has an upper portion and a lower portion. The retractor has a proximal end including at least one mounting member protruding outwardly from a side surface of the retractor and a distal end including at least one fanned blade protruding outwardly from the side surface.

Abstract: A system for diagnosis and treatment of breathing disorders in a patient, comprises a flow generator supplying an air flow to an airway of a patient via a flow path, a venting arrangement moveable between (i) a closed position in which the flow path is substantially sealed between the flow generator and the patient's airway and (ii) an open position in which the flow path is open to an ambient atmosphere, a sensor detecting data corresponding to flow through the patient's airway, and a processing arrangement controlling operation of the venting arrangement and the flow generator, wherein, in a diagnostic mode, the processing arrangement maintains the venting arrangement in the open position and in a therapeutic mode, the processing arrangement maintains the venting arrangement in the closed position and controls the flow generator to supply to the patient's airway via the flow path a calculated therapeutic pressure.

Abstract: A method for pre-detecting bankruptcy of a consumer with an outstanding credit card balance. The method disclosed compares a first set of consumer transaction data to a second set of consumer transaction data in accordance with a debt grading criteria to generate a first and second set of association data. Association rule algorithm executes and parses the first and second set of association data into one or more product or service associations. A transaction pattern is generated of the consumer based in part on relatedness of the one or more product or service associations in conjunction with pre-bankruptcy associative elements. Private documents from lien holders and public documents from pending and completed court cases are analyzed to generate case success indicators. Pre-bankruptcy associative elements are updated based on the generated bankruptcy case success indicators. A debt score is generated that indicates a level of collectability of the outstanding credit card balance.

Abstract: A seal cartridge and a rotating nozzle assembly utilizing the seal cartridge are disclosed. The main seal member in the nozzle assembly is mounted as part of the seal cartridge. The seal cartridge is also easily removable from the rotating nozzle assembly without requiring the separate removal of the main seal member from the seal cartridge. This configuration allows a user to quickly install a new or rebuilt seal during an operation while minimizing or eliminating the necessity to manipulate small parts in the field.

Abstract: A spring brake actuator having a push rod plate and a diaphragm is provided. A rim projects from the diaphragm for engaging a housing containing the push rod plate. A sidewall is connected to the rim, which is connected to a bottom surface, forming an outer diameter of the diaphragm. Flanges, perpendicular to the diaphragm, extend from the diaphragm forming an inner diameter for which the push rod plate is inserted into. An adhesive is placed between the diaphragm and the push rod plate, wherein the adhesive maintains an attachment and a seal between the diaphragm and the push rod plate keeping the diaphragm and the push rod plate in line with each other.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for modulating immune response in a subject, which comprises administering to the subject an effective amount of a composition comprising a yolk or yolk antibody obtained from an egg of a fowl which has been immunized using Helicobacter pylori as an antigen. In particular, the method of the invention is effective in enhancing production of IFN-? and suppressing production of IL-4 and IL-5 in a subject. Also provided is a composition which comprises said yolk or yolk antibody in combination with polypore and chitosan.

In one aspect, methods for screening and identification of enzymes, e.g., transaminases, nitrilases, aldolases, epoxide hydrolases are provided. Methods for the production and screening of gene libraries generated from nucleic acids isolated from more than one organism for enzymes of interest, e.g., transaminases, nitrilases, aldolases, epoxide hydrolases, are also provided.
