  • Patent number: 11310246
Abstract: In one embodiment, a traffic inspection service executed by an intermediary device obtains, from a monitoring agent executed by an endpoint device, keying information for an encrypted traffic session between the endpoint device and a remote entity. The traffic inspection service provides a notification to the monitoring agent that acknowledges receipt of the keying information. The traffic inspection service uses the keying information to decrypt encrypted traffic from the encrypted traffic session. The traffic inspection service applies a policy to the encrypted traffic session between the endpoint device and the remote entity, based on the decrypted traffic from the session.

  • Patent number: 11304667
Abstract: A method and apparatus for improvement of spatial resolution in molecular and radiological imaging is presented. System equipment includes bed with either flat or cylindrical detectors large detector arrays with collimator(s), lens(s), mirror(s) and/or shutter(s). This system utilizes magnification principles with large detector arrays. There is error reduction by reduction of non-collinearity error as seen in current PET scans by determination of the trajectory of the photons and accurate localization of the annihilation event of a positron. Additional error reduction of random coincidence and scatter coincidence is seen. Overall, this method and apparatus affords improved spatial resolution and higher efficiencies, which would allow for lower cost and dose reduction to the patient.

  • Patent number: 11307867
Abstract: Systems and methods use machine learning to find an efficient startup sequence for the components of an application. An example method includes receiving the plurality of components of the modular system and a mechanism for launching the modular system and invoking a machine-learning ordering tool to generate at least one startup sequence. The at least one startup sequence may be returned with corresponding launch metrics. The method may also include determining, based on launch metrics for the at least one startup sequence, whether an efficient sequence has been identified. Responsive to the efficient sequence being identified, the operations can include returning the efficient startup sequence, wherein the modular system is launched using the efficient startup sequence. Responsive to failing to identify the efficient sequence, the operations can include repeating the invoking and determining.

  • Patent number: 11306749
Abstract: A fluid-powered linear motor with rotary pistons is disclosed. An application is for a downhole motor but it could be used in other applications. Rotational pistons provide increased torque generation as the torque generated is proportional to motor length. Since downhole drills are long (generally up to a maximum length of 30 ft.), a high-torque motor can be produced using this method. A pressurized fluid is used to drive the piston assemblies to produce bit shaft power. This concept employs rotary pistons and a mechanical rectifier to convert the rotational reciprocation produced by a reciprocating rotational piston into continuous rotary motion. Integration of synthetic diamond bearing assemblies into the motor allows for reduced friction and abrasive drilling fluid compatibility.

  • Patent number: 11310525
Abstract: Methods and devices for encoding a point cloud. A predictor-copy coding mode is described in which an encoder copies the predicted points for a sub-volume rather than encoding the occupancy data for the original points in the sub-volume. A predictor-copy coding mode flag is coded in the bitstream to signal to the decoder whether predictor-copy coding mode is active or inactive. The predictor-copy coding mode flag may only be coded for sub-volumes that are eligible to use the mode. Eligibility may be based on depth within the coding tree and/or size of the sub-volume. Predictor-copy coding mode has the result of early termination of a branch of the coding tree. Instead of decoding the occupancy for the remainder of the branch, a decoder copies the predicted points that are positioned within the sub-volume as the reconstructed points of the point cloud for that sub-volume.

  • Patent number: 11305271
Abstract: Adsorptive media for chromatography, particularly ion-exchange chromatography, derived from a shaped fiber. In certain embodiments, the functionalized shaped fiber presents a fibrillated or ridged structure which greatly increases the surface area of the fibers when compared to ordinary fibers. Also disclosed herein is a method to add surface pendant functional groups that provides cation-exchange or anion-exchange functionality to the high surface area fibers. This pendant functionality is useful for the ion-exchange chromatographic purification of biomolecules, such as monoclonal antibodies (mAbs).
