  • Patent number: 11171481
Abstract: An automotive electrical system provides power from two DC sources each connected to a separate group of integrity-protected (ASIL) loads. A third group of non-ASIL loads are connected to both power sources through a controllable isolator with first and second transistor arrays. The connection through the isolator also connects each ASIL group to the other DC source. A control circuit includes a plurality of drivers for driving the first and second transistor arrays into conduction. The control circuit is configured to cease driving at least a respective one of the first and second transistor arrays when a fault condition is detected in which current flow in at least one of the transistor arrays exceeds a threshold.

  • Patent number: 11169076
Abstract: In one embodiment, a flow cytometer is disclosed having a compact light detection module. The compact light detection module includes an image array with a transparent block, a plurality of micro-mirrors in a row coupled to a first side of the transparent block, and a plurality of filters in a row coupled to a second side of the transparent block opposite the first side. Each of the plurality of filters reflects light to one of the plurality of micro-mirrors and passes light of a differing wavelength range and each of the plurality of micro-mirrors reflects light to one of the plurality of filters, such that incident light into the image array zigzags back and forth between consecutive filters of the plurality of filters and consecutive micro-mirrors of the plurality of micro-mirrors. A radius of curvature of each of the plurality of micro-mirrors images the fiber aperture onto the odd filters and collimates the light beam on the even filters.

  • Patent number: 11169088
Abstract: A method is provided for measuring time varying particle fluxes with improved temporal resolution and signal to noise ratio. The particles can be photons, neutrons, electrons or electrically charged particles. The method includes a set of electronic and/or optical components and a set of algorithms that implement N-fold temporal multiplexing of the input flux. The system can be used to measure other types of flux by using a transducer to convert the flux into a compatible form. The system can include a transducer such as a scintillator that operates to convert particle flux incident into a photon flux proportional to the amplitude of particle flux. The invention can be used with multiplexing methods known to those skilled in the art, for example Hadamard and Fourier methods.

  • Patent number: 11170129
Abstract: Components of a system for generating anonymized data from timestamped event data are disclosed. The generation of anonymized data is performed in accordance with an anonymization configuration. The anonymization configuration includes information regarding the source of the event data, particulars about the anonymization process that transforms the clear event data from the source into an anonymized form, and particulars about the destination and characteristics for the output dataset. A graphical user interface permits development of anonymization configurations in an interactive, iterative way. The configured anonymizer employs methods and options to produce anonymized data with superior usability as a substitute for real world data, including a mode to effectively emulate live data streams.

  • Patent number: 11171848
Abstract: Improvements to network switches and other network components that enable improved status monitoring and logging of network and device parameters, particularly for networked video surveillance applications. The network switch or other network component, which may be an IP camera for example, outputs a networked video stream which contains graphical representations of relevant data, such as simple graphs or indicators. The networked video stream, and therefore the relevant data, can then be conveniently viewed and/or stored as a networked video stream with existing standard technology. An additional benefit is that conventional motion detection can be performed on the graphical representations in the networked video stream to generate alarms or trigger events.

  • Patent number: 11172298
Abstract: While a first wearable audio output component of a wearable audio output device is in a first position relative to a first ear of a user and a second wearable audio output component of the wearable audio output device is in the first position relative to a second ear, a computer system operates the wearable audio output device in a first mode. While doing so, the computer system detects a change in position of the first component from the first position to a second position; and, in response, while the second component is maintained in the first position, the computer system transitions the wearable audio output device from the first mode to a different, second mode that is a pass-through mode in which audio outputs provided via the wearable audio output device include pass-through audio components that include at least a portion of ambient sound from the physical environment.

  • Patent number: 11169604
Abstract: A method for determining gaze calibration parameters for gaze estimation of a viewer using an eye-tracking system. The method comprises obtaining a set of data points including gaze tracking data of the viewer and position information of at least one target visual; selecting a first subset of the data points and determining gaze calibration parameters using said first subset. A score for the gaze calibration parameters is determined by using the gaze calibration parameters with a second subset of data points, wherein at least one data point of the subset is not included in the first subset. The score is indicative of the capability of the gaze calibration parameters to reflect position information of the at least one target visual based on the gaze tracking data. The score is compared to a candidate score and if it is higher, the calibration parameters are set to the candidate calibration parameters and the score to the candidate score.
