    Abstract: An impact power tool includes one or more of the following features including a housing, a motor, an output spindle, a rotary impact assembly, and a planetary transmission having a fixed ring gear and rotatable planet gear carrier. In an aspect, the planetary transmission is configured to transmit rotational motion from a motor output shaft to a cam shaft at a single overall speed reduction ratio. The planetary transmission includes a sun gear rotatably driven by the motor output shaft, a planet carrier rotatably driving the cam shaft, a ring gear rotationally fixed relative to the tool housing, a first planet gear mounted to the planet carrier and meshed with the sun gear but not meshed with the ring gear and a second planet gear mounted to the carrier and meshed with the ring gear but not meshed with the sun gear.

    Abstract: An angle grinder is provided including a trigger assembly for selectively actuating the angle grinder. A particle separation assembly is provided for the removal of any dust, particle, or artifacts that may have entered into the housing of the angle grinder. A brush biasing system is also provided to ensure proper and efficient operation of the motor of the angle grinder. An overload monitoring system is included to monitor the loading on the motor. A clutch mechanism is also included to prevent overloading on the motor of the angle grinder. A gear wheel lock mechanism is also provided to prevent the wheel spindle from rotating during installation or removal of a grinding wheel on the wheel spindle. An anti-locking flange system is also included to prevent the over-tightening of the flanges and the grinder wheel during the operation of the angle grinder. A gear case labyrinth feature is also provided.

    Abstract: A power tool that includes a housing, a motor, a planetary transmission, a first bearing and a second bearing. The motor is disposed in the housing and includes an output shaft. The planetary transmission has a sun gear, a plurality of first planet gears, a first ring gear and a carrier. The sun gear is driven by the output shaft. The first planet gears are driven by the sun gear and have teeth that are meshingly engaged to teeth of the first ring gear. The carrier includes a rear carrier plate and a front carrier plate between which the first and second planet gears are received. The rear carrier plate includes a first bearing aperture. The first bearing is received in the first bearing aperture and is configured to support the output shaft. The second bearing is received onto the rear carrier plate to support the carrier relative to the housing.
