  • Patent number: 12533148
Abstract: A medical apparatus has a thrombectomy device disposed in a sheath lumen of a sheath that is movable between an initial extended position and a retracted position. The thrombectomy device includes a first elongate cannula having a distal tip, a guidewire lumen, and a perforated region, which is proximal to the distal tip and is in fluid communication with the guidewire lumen. A second elongate cannula, which is configured to rotate, has a second lumen and a mechanical thrombectomy whisk, which is proximal to the distal tip. A third elongate cannula has a third exterior surface, a third lumen, an inflation passageway, an inflatable balloon connected to the third exterior surface, and an expandable embolic filter connected to the third exterior surface at a location distal to the inflatable balloon. The first elongate cannula is disposed in the second lumen. The second elongate cannula is disposed in the third lumen.

  • Publication number: 20250303121
Abstract: A medical apparatus (10) includes an inflatable medical balloon (12) formed of a compliant material having one or more fibers (14) embedded therein, which may be braided or form intersections having a first lower angle at a first lower state of inflation of the medical balloon and a second higher at a second higher state of inflation of the medical balloon. A catheter shaft may connect to a tubing for forming the inflatable medical balloon. The outer diameter of the tubing may be substantially flush with outer diameters of the opposed ends of the catheter shaft. A guidewire tube may pass through the catheter shaft and the tubing and connect to a distal tip of the catheter shaft. A proximal hub includes a first port for supplying an inflation fluid to the catheter shaft and a second port adapted for receiving a guidewire for passing through the catheter shaft.

  • Publication number: 20250228581
Abstract: An apparatus for engaging a thrombus in a vessel includes a catheter having a first expandable element. A plurality of scrapers attached at a distal end portion to the catheter extend proximally at least partially alongside the first expandable element. In one embodiment, a proximal end portion of the plurality of scrapers is unattached to the catheter and adapted to be inserted between the thrombus and the vessel. Additional embodiments and related methods are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20250135165
Abstract: An apparatus for performing angioplasty on a lesion and applying a therapeutic agent thereto. The apparatus includes a catheter having an inflatable balloon, such as a non-compliant balloon, adapted to compress the lesion when inflated. At least one port adapted to deliver the therapeutic agent to adjacent the lesion, such as once the balloon is deflated and advanced past a location where the inflatable balloon compressed the lesion. Alternatively, one or more additional balloons, which may be compliant balloons located distally or proximally of the balloon for compressing the lesion, may be inflated to form a sealed chamber including the compressed lesion and the therapeutic agent once delivered via the at least one port. Related methods are also disclosed.
