Abstract: The present invention discloses a lightweight sign-support assembly for displaying and supporting a sign in a preselected display position. The sign-supporting assembly is especially adapted for ground-access removal, installation, or changing of signs or messages in elevated pole banner-type signs. The sign supporting assembly includes a track secured to a pole, a support assembly slidably secured in the track, and a locking mechanism for positioning and releasably securing the support assembly along the track.

Abstract: A sign stand assembly is disclosed for supporting a sign in a generally upright orientation relative to a base portion of the stand assembly. The assembly includes a resilient biasing apparatus for allowing the sign to pivotally deflect in the face of winds or other forces in order to avoid tipping over the sign and sign stand assembly. The resilient biasing apparatus includes an elastomeric member that is preferably preloaded and that is torsionally deflectable during service in order to provide for such sign deflection. Such preloading greatly contributes to the durability and long service life of the resilient biasing apparatus.

Abstract: An improved warning sign and sign stand assembly is disclosed and includes apparatus for attaching and retaining the sign to a stand member of the assembly. The various embodiments of the assembly also include various mechanisms for permitting the sign panel to pivot or swing under side-directed loads in order to allow a resilient portion of the stand base to deflect generally along a predetermined plane, thereby substantially preventing the sign and stand assembly from tipping over. The various embodiments are applicable in sign and sign stand assemblies equipped with provisions for selectively collapsing the entire assemblies into compact and conveniently stored configurations, as well as being applicable in assemblies not so equipped.

Abstract: An adjustable, universal mounting bracket and system for securing signs and poster display devices to the top of gasoline pump fixtures without the need to drill holes or use adhesives. The mounting bracket may be readily assembled from selected components of a kit to fit many, if not all, popular makes and models of gas pumps. For economical merchandising, one kit fits all and the components of the kit are compactly stored and shipped disassembled. Unused components are thrown away.

Abstract: A sign bracket for attaching a sign to a stand particularly useful for supporting two cross members to which a flexible sign is attached. The bracket includes a sleeve which slidably overfits a vertical stand member and includes a resilient latch which permits the sleeve to be located at various vertical positions on the stand. The sleeve is affixed to a pair of sign holding mechanisms forming a channel having an open end which receives a sign cross member and having a resilient latch member located at the channel open end which restrains the cross member within the channel.

Abstract: An improved poster frame and display holder for replaceable posters and similar advertising material. The sides of the frame comprise sets of pivotably engaged extruded metal parts. Improved leaf-type spring mechanisms bias together the portions of each side of the frame for releasably holding a poster or similar display.

Abstract: A display holder having track members for securely gripping and holding differently sized posters, signs and advertising materials. The track members comprise elongated extrusions having one or more flange members thereon which mate with corresponding elongated ribs on the backing member of the display holder. The advertising materials are inserted on the display holder so that at least one edge thereof is positioned between a flange member and a rib. The panels are held securely in place by tension. A plurality of frame-like members are preferably positioned on the exterior edges of the backing panel.

Abstract: A panel framing device particularly suited for enclosing unused openings in buildings and the like is disclosed. The framing device comprises a plurality of perimeter and interior framing members adapted to be attached to the building to retain one or more decorative panels therein and to conceal the manner in which they are secured to the building. The interior framing members comprise a cover portion and a base portion which are integrally locked together to prohibit removal thereof.

Abstract: An improved mounting bracket for a coil spring mounted poster display structure. The bracket comprises a metal plate having at least two stepped levels with a threaded hole formed through each level. The bracket is adapted to fit between adjacent coils of the spring so that the holes in the bracket are parallel to the axis of the coil spring. The coil spring is fastened to the poster display structure by a pair of mounting bolts which are positioned through corresponding holes in the structure and screwed into the holes in the bracket. The stepped levels in the bracket insure that the holes in the bracket will properly align with the holes in the display structure.
