  • Patent number: 10232380
Abstract: A comminution device can include a crushing body extraction mechanism. The crushing body extraction mechanism can be configured to permit one or more crushing bodies (e.g. rollers of a roller press, etc.) to be continuously moved linearly away from a frame to expose the crushing bodies from the frame. In some embodiments, the extraction mechanism may be configured to utilize one or more rack and pinion mechanisms. The pinion for each such mechanism may be powered by one or more rotary motors or other type of rotary drive mechanism. In other embodiments, the extraction mechanism can include one or more rack and ratchet mechanisms. Each rack and ratchet mechanism may include a hydraulic cylinder or other linear actuator that is extendable and retractable for actuating motion of a ratchet along a rack having columns of differently angled steps to facilitate extension and retraction of one or more crushing bodies.

  • Publication number: 20180243746
Abstract: A comminution device configured to comminute material is disclosed. According to some embodiments the comminution device may comprise a first cylindrical roll having a first axis; and a second cylindrical roll having a second axis; wherein the first axis may be substantially parallel with the second axis to form a nip between the first cylindrical roll and the second cylindrical roll during operation of the comminution device. A first drive 50 may be operatively connectable to the first cylindrical roll, and a second drive 50 may be operatively connectable to the first cylindrical roll. The first drive 50 and the second drive 50 may be connected to a mount 10; wherein the mount 10 may be supported by an upper base 30. The mount 10 is movable along a direction (A-Axis), which is substantially parallel with the first and/or second axis. Also disclosed, is a drive assembly 1 for a comminution device and a method of removing a drive assembly 1 from a comminution device.

  • Publication number: 20060085949
Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed for facilitating movement of movable objects with an attachable handle. The handle includes a gripping section, a plurality of ductile members extending from the gripping section, and an attachment means attached to distal ends of the ductile members to secure the object to the handle. The attachment means may be a tacky material, which sticks to the object or to a corresponding attachment means to wrap around the object. The gripping section may include a slot on a side so that a user can remove the ductile members from the gripping section to open a box or bag being held by the handle. While the handle is not in use, the ductile members can be inserted into a hollow portion of the gripping section for storage thereof.

  • Publication number: 20060085950
Abstract: There is a gripping section with first and second open ends, a ductile member, such as a strap, forming first and second hoops extending from the first and second open ends. The hoops and wrap and tighten around the object. Ends of the ductile member protrude through a hole in the handle. A fastener receives the ends of the ductile member to allow a user to tighten the hoops. There may be a plurality of ductile members. There may be a slot in the gripping section.
