  • Publication number: 20240117599
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods for adjusting steering angle and articulation angle in an auto steering operation of a work vehicle. The percentage of travel of an articulation joystick of the work vehicle at least partially determines an articulation desired angle change, which can be used to calculate an articulation desired angle and a steering desired angle change. The difference between the articulation desired angle and an articulation angle detected by an articulation angle sensor is used to adjust the articulation angle. The steering desired angle change can be used to calculate a steering desired angle. The difference between the steering desired angle and a steering angle detected by a steering angle sensor is used to adjust the steering angle.

  • Patent number: 11891782
Abstract: A ground engaging tool control system including a first sensor system, a second sensor system, a first actuator system, a second actuator system, and an electronic data processor. The first and second sensor systems detect respective positions of a first ground engaging tool and a second ground engaging tool. The first actuator system is coupled to the first ground engaging tool and the second actuator system is coupled to the second ground engaging tool. The electronic data processor determines a target grade profile and generates two or more control signals to adjust target positions of the first ground engaging tool and the second ground engaging tool. The target position of the second ground engaging tool is determined based on at least one of a position of the first ground engaging tool or the comparison of a current grade profile and a desired grade profile.

  • Patent number: 11702818
Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus includes measuring wear of a cutting edge of a blade of a work vehicle. Blade position or calibration measurements are made with or without a cutting edge. A wear condition of the cutting edge is acceptable when the blade position measurement less an acceptable wear to the cutting edge amount is less than a blade calibration measurement. A wear condition of the cutting edge is unacceptable when the blade position measurement less an acceptable wear to the cutting edge amount is greater than a blade calibration measurement. Alternatively, a wear condition of the cutting edge is unacceptable when a blade calibration measurement plus a tolerance margin is greater than the blade position measurement. The wear condition of the cutting edge is acceptable when the blade calibration measurement plus a tolerance margin is less than the blade position measurement.

  • Publication number: 20220081877
Abstract: Detecting a surface irregularity on a surface for a vehicle moving forwardly or rearwardly along the surface, the vehicle having a frame supported by wheels and an implement adjustably coupled to the frame. Two of front and rear steering positions and an implement position are used to determine a path of travel of the vehicle. Surface irregularities of the surface within the path of travel are determined which triggers a warning to the vehicle. The speed of the vehicle can be decreased automatically to stop the vehicle before the vehicle impacts the surface irregularity. A vehicle zone of operation is determined based on the path of travel and a corresponding pair of gridlines is displayed on user interface. The pair of gridlines vary in shape, color, position, and orientation as the path of travel changes. The surface irregularity is illuminated relative to the pair of gridlines on the operator display.
