  • Patent number: 11956072
Abstract: An aggregate cell of a cellular network includes a plurality of dispersed modular cells. The modular cells each include a cellular radio and collectively perform the function of a cellular base station. A distributed clock is established by transmitting timing beacons from one or more of the modular cells. Each modular cell receives the timing beacons. Each modular cell that transmits a timing beacon provides a transmission timestamp to a cell controller. Each modular cell that receives a timing beacon provides a reception timestamp to the cell controller. The cell controller schedules signal transmissions from the modular cells based on the transmission and reception timestamps.

  • Patent number: 8555990
Abstract: A fire-fighting pumper vehicle that includes a cab configured to transport a crew of firefighters, a water tank disposed to the rear of the cab, and a chassis configured to support the cab, the water tank, and one or more fire pump systems disposed on the chassis proximate to, and forward of, the rear wheels. In some embodiments, the fire pump system includes a power take-off pump, which is configured to operate a water only system or a compressed-air foam system from a gear case of the fire pump. The fire pump system includes nested components and is located and configured to occupy less space than conventional fire pump systems.

  • Patent number: 6854926
Abstract: A zero ground disturbance dike apparatus and method for the secondary containment of harmful chemicals that are stored in primary storage vessels, wherein the dike apparatus does not require the drilling of postholes or the setting of support posts in concrete. Sections of dike walls are attached to bracing assemblies, each bracing assembly being comprised of a brace and a base plate. Braces are configured to support the assembled wall sections and to provide resistance against the outwardly force exerted by material that is released from the primary storage vessel. Base plates attached to the braces assist in resisting bending moments that may be created about the base of the dike apparatus. The brace assembly also preferably includes at least one base support channel for additional base plate stiffness and support cables to further resist the outwardly forces exerted against the dike apparatus by said released materials.

  • Publication number: 20030177735
Abstract: A structural beam assembly is for use in supporting a fabric covered building includes a plurality of adjacent beam sections in end-to-end alignment and a means for interconnecting the adjacent beam sections. Each beam section comprises an upper member, a lower member and a reinforcing web extending between and interconnecting the upper and lower members. According to one embodiment, the upper and lower members are tubular and the connection means comprises a connection bracket having an upper tubular member sized for insertion into the upper tubular members of a two adjacent beam sections and a lower tubular member sized for insertion into the lower members two adjacent beam sections. In another embodiment, the upper and lower members are tubular and the connection means comprises a swaged portion integrally formed on the upper tubular member of one of the two adjacent beam sections and a swaged portion integrally formed on the lower tubular member of one of the two adjacent beam sections.
