  • Patent number: 8327492
Abstract: A toothbrush having a handle, a head, and a neck extending between the handle and the head is disclosed. The handle having one or more elastomeric handle regions. The head having a first face and a second face. The second face opposes the first face and at least one of the first face or second face has an elastomer filled recess. The elastomer filled recess has a plurality of cleaning elements. An elastomer filled supply channel extends from the one or more elastomeric handle regions to the elastomer filled recess.

  • Patent number: 6514445
Abstract: A process for forming a grooming implement is provided. The steps include providing a blank having a head and a handle, wherein the head has one or more void spaces which divide said head into at least two segments, and injecting an elastomer into the void space at a temperature of at least about 245° C. thereby fusing the elastomer to the segments and forming a resiliently flexible joint. The elastomer is the sole mechanical link between the segments such that the segments can flex relative to each other and the elastomer can be stretched to about 120% of its unstressed length without separation of the elastomer from the segments.

  • Patent number: 6471095
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dispensing device (1) for a fluid (10), the dispensing device (1) comprising a reservoir (11), a shaft (12), a back seal (13), a damper (14), a piston (151) and a one-way valve (16), the back seal (13) sealing a first end of the reservoir and being displaceable along the shaft, the valve being on the second end of the reservoir, the piston being fixed to one end of the shaft, the piston being located between the valve and the damper, the damper being also fixed to the shaft, the damper being located between the piston and the back seal, whereby the piston has an opened position (151) and a closed position (152), the open position allowing fluid communication between the valve and the pat of the reservoir between the piston and the back seal, the displacement of the piston between the opened and the closed position being induced by a displacement of the shaft along its own axis, the pressure in the area comprised between the valve and the piston reducing when the piston is mo
