Patent number: 12268628Abstract: Described herein is a system for heating and/or cooling a fluid that includes a temperature forcing device having a bottom plate and a top plate hingedly coupled to the bottom plate. At least one of the bottom plate and the top plate has a recess or other area for receiving at least one flexible fluid holder (e.g., a polymer bag). The bottom plate and/or top plate also has at least one protrusion and/or recession in its interior wall(s) such that a fluid passageway in the flexible fluid holder is defined when the fluid holder is placed between the top and bottom plates, and the plates are closed together. The fluid holder then has a fluid inlet for receiving the fluid to be heated and/or cooled and a fluid outlet for delivering the fluid. The fluid, upon being heated and/or cooled by the temperature forcing device, may then be delivered to a patient or may be delivered to another system component, e.g., for additional heating/cooling.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2023Date of Patent: April 8, 2025Assignee: Belmont Instrument, LLCInventors: John Joseph Landy, III, Alexander Rick, Tristan Dion, Skylar Nesheim, David Dumais, Yeu Wen Tseng, Chuong Vu, Robert Charles Shea

Publication number: 20250017545Abstract: A method and a system of generating a color-coded image demonstrating blood flow in a chosen area in a patient, specifically for diagnosing medical conditions like ischemia, strokes and infarcts. A plurality of images, preferably 3, are taken at different points in time that are a few seconds apart, and colorized by different colors, preferably a first image red, a second image blue and a third image green. These colorized images are then aligned and summated to create a multicolor image that time encodes perfusion of blood. Preferably, said method is performed after injection of a contrast agent.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 14, 2023Publication date: January 16, 2025Inventor: David Vu

Patent number: 9820426Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for applying specially formulated spray materials. The feedstock for the spray materials includes one or more immiscible materials. To mix immiscible materials at low pressure, the materials are applied from separate inputs of a fixture to separate channels where they are permitted to flow to and spread over surfaces or edges at selected thicknesses. On the surfaces or edges the materials are each subject to flowing air that forms small particles or drops even though the materials may be viscous. The particles or drops are mixed together and may be applied to a combustion device or spray device or any other device utilizing the mixture.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2015Date of Patent: November 21, 2017Assignee: Kamterter Products, LLCInventors: John Alvin Eastin, David Vu
