  • Patent number: 12153477
Abstract: An electronic device includes a housing sidewall defining an opening and a display component, such as a display cover, disposed in the opening to form a gap between the housing sidewall and the display component. In at least one example, the cavity is defined by the sidewall and the display cover with the cavity in fluid communication with an external environment through the gap. In at least one example, an epoxy component at least partially defines the cavity and can be in direct contact with the housing sidewall.

  • Patent number: 5743063
Abstract: The invention provides a number of embodiments of slidable brackets adapted for mounting building panels, especially roof members mounted to structural members in a manner to permit limited uni-axial or bi-axial movement. A preferred embodiment has a channel shaped base member and a channel shaped slider member. The base member is adapted to be secured to an existing roof or to a building frame component. The slider member is formed to slidingly straddle and slide on the base member. For uni-axial motion, the slider member has a single pair of longitudinal slots formed in each of its sides through which a bolt or the like passes and which also passes through a mating bolt hole in the side of the base member. For bi-axial motion, a pair of slots is formed in an attached beam whose axis extends in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the longitudinal slots in the slider member.

  • Patent number: 4409717
Abstract: A hand tool is provided for swedging female seams of standing seam roof panels. The tool includes a handle and a seam-engaging structure. The handle and seam-engaging structure can either be integral or in two pieces. The seam-engaging portion has first, second, and third substantially planar surfaces with the first and second surfaces making an acute angle with respect to each other, and the second and third surfaces making an acute with respect to each other. When placed in operative association with a female seam having an end edge and first and second bends, the seam can be "opened-up" by effecting bending at the second bend, while not disturbing the first bend or end edge. To open up an entirely closed seam, the hand tool is placed at an endlap location and is impacted with a hammer to move from the endlap position to a more mid-seam location, and swedging is then effected.
