Abstract: An adaptor for connecting raceway trunking (5) to a box (1) for electrical components comprises a channel member (4) through which raceway trunking may pass having a hole (6) to register with an aperture or knock-out portion (2) of the box when the adaptor is attached to the side of the box. Integral, outwardly extending, snap-fitting tabs (9) are positioned around the hole (6) in the channel member (4) for attaching the channel member (4) to the box (1) at the aperture or knock-out portion (2) of the box.

Abstract: Boxes for electrical components are provided with elongate grooves (3, 26) to receive self-tapping or thread cutting screws for securing the components in the box. The grooves may extend above or below the bottom of the box.

Abstract: Trunking for services such as electric cables, telephone cable and the like. The trunking comprises an elongate channel member and an elongate cover member dimensioned and arranged releasably to engage and close the channel member. The channel member has a base wall and first and second opposed side walls having free, elongate edge regions. The cover member has a top surface terminating in longitudinal side wall portions shaped to fit over the free edge regions of the channel member. A connector for connecting two, spaced apart cover members on at least one length of channel member comprises opposed side walls joined by a top wall so dimensioned that the side walls are a sliding fit over the side walls of the channel member and cover member. The trunking may also include a cable retainer for retaining cable and the like in the channel member.
