  • Publication number: 20230355032
Abstract: An electrical appliance includes a controller operatively connected to a power circuit, a control circuit, a power source, a sensor for sensing a parameter level, and an active element. The controller is configured to receive an input of the parameter level from the sensor and to output a duty cycle for controlling a power level of the active element via the control circuit at various times to achieve a target set point of the parameter, the duty cycle based on proportional and integral control. The controller uses the proportional control and the integral control when the control circuit is energized, and accumulates integral error only when a parameter process variable sensed by the sensor is determined to be within an interval of the target set point.

  • Patent number: 9801499
Abstract: A food preparation appliance has a base, a blade member rotatable in a direction of rotation, and a container with a closed bottom, an open top and a tubular sidewall together defining an interior space of the container. The top of the container is configured for releasable connection with the base, with the blade member disposed within the interior space of the container. The sidewall has a rib projecting inward of the interior space of the container and extending lengthwise along at least a portion of the sidewall from the top of the container toward the bottom of the container. The rib has, in the direction of rotation of the blade member, a peak defined as the shortest transverse dimension measured from the center of the container to the sidewall at a respective height along the portion of the sidewall having the rib, the rib being asymmetric in transverse cross-section.

  • Patent number: 7191522
Abstract: In a cutting blade assembly for an electric foil shaver, a first cutting blade of the assembly has a generally planar first face, a generally planar second face opposite the first face, and a peripheral cutting edge. The first cutting blade has at least one bump disposed on its first face. A second cutting blade of the assembly has a generally planar first face, a generally planar second face opposite the first face, and a peripheral cutting edge. The first and second cutting blades are arranged in generally parallel relationship with each other with the first face of the first cutting blade facing either the first face or the second face of the second cutting blade. The bump on the first face of the first cutting blade keeps the first and second cutting blades otherwise separated during a coating process in which the faces of the cutting blades are coated.
