  • Patent number: 7849262
Abstract: A system and method for managing one or more Storage Area Networks (SAN), in which the one or more SAN's consist of one or more data storage volumes and one or more hosts. Whereas the one or more data storage volumes are in a switched storage network.

  • Patent number: 7818517
Abstract: An architecture for managing a switched storage network consisting of one or more data storage volumes and one or more hosts. The data storage volumes are in a switched storage network. One or more processors provide the switching capability for the switched storage network. The one or more processors are capable of embodying logical constructions of a storage presentation layer and a volume presentation layer.

  • Patent number: 7313656
Abstract: A pre-fetch method for a data storage system having disk drives and a cache memory. The method generates a history as pages are from the disk drives for storage in the cache memory, such history indicating whether a page previous to the requested page is already in the cache memory. The history generation is used during subsequent requests to determine, when a page is again requested, the number of pages that are to be read from the disk drive into the cache memory, the number of pages to be read being determined from the generated history.

  • Patent number: 7050715
Abstract: An integrated imager and camera mounting assembly that allows a single operator to scan the crime scene for prints without assistance, and to attain an optimally illuminated and stably focused recorded image with single handed adjustments. The assembly includes an A-frame stand which carries a pair of UV lights on adjustable arms for single handled adjustment by the operator in the scanning and recording modes. The stand includes a footed base that allows the operator to securely engage the frame against vertical, horizontal and irregular surfaces using the imager handle thereby locating the imager at a fixed distance from the print area and permitting ready focusing of the image with the other hand. The base further includes a sliding scale for placement in the field of view for dimensional referencing.

  • Patent number: 5057019
Abstract: A process for creating a facial identification data base using a digital data processing computer system is provided. Entire photographic images of persons are first displayed and picked up by charge coupled solid state image sensors in a camera to produce electrical signals corresponding to the facial images. The sensors are horizontally and vertically disposed within the camera. The electrical signals are serially applied from the sensors to the computer system, where they are digitized and displayed onto the graphics monitor screen. Specific parameters relating to portions of the partial images to be stored are then inserted into the computer. The parameter data is then used to produce partial digitized images representing specific areas of said entire facial images, such as the forehead, nose, mouth or chin. The partial digitized images are produced by masking other areas of the total digitized image.
