  • Patent number: 10999615
Abstract: A personal base station (PBS) having wireless video capability. The PBS authenticates a mobile device within range for cellular services, and authenticates the user for a level of service for cable television. The PBS operates in accordance with a dual-purpose subscriber identity system (SIS) includes a subscriber mobile identity component (SMIC) and a video security component (VSC) such that the cellular and television services can be authenticated. Mobile devices incorporating the disclosed innovations, as well as the PBS, can access video content from a cable television provider through any available broadband link, regardless of the mobile device's physical location.

  • Patent number: 10530756
Abstract: An eUICC is configured with one or more master delete keys each allowing an associated level of profile-deletion access for deleting one or more profiles from the eUICC, and the eUICC is configured to control profile-deletion access in accordance with the one or more delete keys. For instance, one delete key could allow deletion of any or all profiles on the eUICC including any operational profiles (e.g., MNO profiles) and any non-operational profiles. Whereas, another delete key could allow deletion of any or all operational profiles but not any non-operational profiles. Further, a blockchain protocol could be used to securely convey such a delete key from one party to another, helping to establish chain of custody of the delete key.

  • Patent number: 8594728
Abstract: Systems and methods of accessing a network-based communication service provide for generating a dialing request at a remote control device based on user input. A dialing signal is transmitted toward a mobile communication device based on the request, where the dialing signal instructs the mobile communication device to access the network-based communication service. Communication services can enable a user to use information retrieval at a network server as well as use number dialing at the network server. In one example, the dialing signal is transmitted according to a Bluetooth standard.
