Publication number: 20230240746Abstract: Tissue treatment systems and methods are disclosed. In an embodiment, a tissue treatment system includes a LV signal generator, a HV signal generator, and a controller. The LV signal generator is used to produce a LV tissue impedance measurement signal, and the HV signal generator is used to produce a HV tissue treatment signal having a voltage that is at least five times greater than a voltage of the LV tissue impedance measurement signal. The controller controls when the HV tissue treatment signal produced using the HV signal generator, and when the LV tissue impedance measurement signal produced using the LV signal generator, are delivered to patient tissue via an active electrode and a return electrode. The LV tissue impedance measurement signal is used to estimate the impedance of the patient tissue, which is used to control the voltage and/or current of the HV tissue treatment signal.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 28, 2022Publication date: August 3, 2023Applicant: Galary, Inc.Inventors: Timothy J. Gundert, Robert E. Neal, II, Quim Castellvi, David W. Hunter

Patent number: 11690945Abstract: A dialysis valve includes a tube attached between an artery and a vein which, when elongated, simultaneously narrows in diameter at at least one location. The narrowed portion of the tube decreases the volume and velocity between the arterial and venous side of the patient to prevent damage or intimal hyperplasia on the venous side between dialysis treatments. When the valve is opened for dialysis, an unrestricted blood flow exists between the arterial and venous side, permitting a controlled, open blood flow during dialysis.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2020Date of Patent: July 4, 2023Assignee: INTERRAD Medical, Inc.Inventors: Timothy J. Claude, Edward A. Barlow, David W. Hunter, Michael S. Rosenberg

Patent number: 7837168Abstract: The application includes various embodiments of devices and methods for mounting a motor within an image forming apparatus. The motor is mounted on a frame and positioned to engage and drive a component within the image forming apparatus. In one embodiment, the component is an imaging unit. The frame includes an opening to receive the motor. A locating member is attached to the frame and extends into the opening to contact the motor and provide accurate positioning for engagement with the component. The locating ring provides for a press fit with lower forces. Additional fasteners may fixedly connect the motor to the frame and maintain the accurate positioning provided by the locating member.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2007Date of Patent: November 23, 2010Assignee: Lexmark International, Inc.Inventors: Daniel L.
