  • Patent number: 9967129
Abstract: A method is provided for invoking call features to be executed in a session initiation protocol (SIP) environment, the method comprising: receiving a signal indicating a feature activation; and inserting a call information header into a SIP message, the call information header comprising a parameter that identifies the activated feature. Alternatively or additionally, a method is provided for controlling a user interface coupled to an endpoint in a SIP environment, the method comprising: receiving a SIP message comprising a user interface parameter carried in a call information header; and modifying the user interface to reflect the value of the user interface parameter. In yet another alternative, a method is provided for communicating user interface information to an endpoint in a SIP environment, comprising: creating a SIP message comprising a user interface parameter in a call information header; and transmitting the SIP message to the endpoint.

  • Patent number: 8495231
Abstract: A remote call control method is provided, the method comprising exchanging a session initiation protocol message, wherein the message indicates a call control request is associated with the message; identifying a resource associated with the call control request, wherein the resource includes one or more parameters of the call control request; and performing a call control operation according to the parameters of the call control request. A communication platform and endpoint are provided for executing a call control operation according to a call control request. The communication platform and endpoint comprise a processor component operable to exchange a session initiation protocol message, identify a resource associated with the call control request, and execute a call control operation according to the parameters of the call control request. The message indicates a call control request is associated with the message, and the resource includes parameters associated with the call control request.

  • Publication number: 20120241410
Abstract: A process for treating a target region of a component surface with a treatment fluid including: a) determining an amount of treatment fluid required to treat the target region; b) feeding the determined amount of treatment fluid to a treatment device; c) continuously circulating the treatment fluid through an applicator of the treatment device whilst applying the applicator to the target region; and d) discarding the treatment fluid once the target region of the component surface has been treated. An apparatus for treating a target region of a component surface with a treatment fluid is also disclosed and which includes: a treatment fluid reservoir; a treatment device, operable to receive treatment fluid from the treatment fluid reservoir and to apply treatment fluid to the component; a holding fixture for supporting the component; and a sealable enclosure containing the treatment fluid reservoir, the treatment device and the holding fixture.

  • Publication number: 20120241008
Abstract: A device for applying a treatment fluid to a target includes an application chamber that defines a substantially laminar application flow path from an inflow region to an outflow region of the application chamber; and a distribution chamber that communicates with the application chamber at an interface, in use, fluid being delivered from the distribution chamber to the application chamber via the interface across the full extent of the inflow region of the application chamber. A process for applying treatment fluid to a target region of a component surface using a treatment device operable to present the treatment fluid to the component surface is also disclosed. The process comprises introducing the treatment device to the target region of the component surface, and drawing treatment fluid through the device, across the target region of the component surface solely under the action of reduced pressure applied at an outlet of the device.

  • Patent number: 8139566
Abstract: A method for establishing a communication session between two endpoints that do not both support secure media includes receiving a registration from a first endpoint. The registration indicating the first endpoint supports secure media and non-secure media. The method also includes receiving a registration from a second endpoint. The registration indicating the second endpoint supports non-secure media. The method also includes receiving a request to establish a communication session between the first endpoint and the second endpoint using secure media. The method further includes establishing the communication session between the first endpoint and the second endpoint via the communications platform using non-secure media.

  • Patent number: 8051587
Abstract: A snow deflector apparatus that easily attaches to a snowplow, a kit that includes two snow deflector apparatus and a control system, and to a snowplow system that includes two snow deflector apparatus and a control system. The snow deflector apparatus includes a deflector plate, a deflector plate rotator mechanism and at least one spring. The deflector plate is dimensioned to obstruct at least a substantial portion of the end of the blade of the snowplow such that an amount of snow that is sloughed off of the blade is minimized when the deflector plate is in a deployed position.
