    Abstract: A valve cover assembly comprising a valve cover (21) wherein the valve cover has a mating surface (26) adapted to be attached to a cylinder head (20) of an internal combustion engine having a continuous bead of adhesive (22) disposed on the mating surface (25). An engine assembly comprising one or more valve covers (21), which has a mating surface (26) and one or more cylinder heads (20) having mating surfaces (25) adapted to fit to the mating surfaces (26) of the valve covers (21) wherein each valve cover (21) is adhesively bonded to a cylinder head.
