    Abstract: A distributor roll for use in a headbox of a paper-making machine, includes at least two support plates, with each said support plate having a circumferential edge. A plurality of square elongate members connect between the circumferential edges of the support plates. The support plates have at least one opening therein, whereby fluid pressure differentials on opposite sides of the support plates are equalized.
