  • Patent number: 11927183
Abstract: A fluid spraying system includes a displacement pump configured to mount to a drive housing. A reciprocating drive is connectable to a pump rod of the displacement pump and includes a connecting rod and a drive link that receives a head of the pump rod. A tightening ring that includes threading is configured to rotate about a cylinder of the pump and shift axially along the cylinder and engage with a bottom side of the drive housing to secure the displacement pump to the drive housing.

Abstract: A displacement pump is configured to mount to a drive housing. A reciprocating drive is connectable to a pump rod of the displacement pump and includes a connecting rod and a drive link that receives a head of the pump rod. A flange projects from a pump body of the pump and a ring projects from the pump body of the pump. A portion of the drive housing is received in a gap between the flange and the ring.

  • Patent number: 9280917
Abstract: A medical simulant applicable to training personnel in the treatment of a traumatic injury is presented. The simulant replicates the appearance of a body part and is mechanically responsive to externally applied pressure so as to mimic the response of a vascular element when a tourniquet or the like is applied to the body part. The simulant includes a compressible body, a structure, a compressible tube, and a pair of plates. The compressible body replicates an arm, a leg, or another body region. The structure replicates an injury, either penetrating or non-penetrating, and is disposed along the compressible body. The compressible tube replicates a vascular element. The plates are separately disposed within the compressible body about the compressible tube. The plates are configured to deform the compressible tube so as to interrupt flow of a liquid simulating blood therein when a compressive force is applied onto the compressible body by a tourniquet or the like.

  • Patent number: 8046481
Abstract: A conventional serial communications protocol that is limited to supporting only host-to-slave communications, such as SATA or SAS, is extended to support peer-to-peer communications, e.g., by adding a memory-map layer into the conventional protocol stack between the link layer and the protocol layer. The addition of the memory-map layer enables two (or more) non-host devices (i.e., peer devices) to communicate with one another without using a host computer and without relying on conventional protocol-bridging techniques.

  • Patent number: 7573691
Abstract: Protection is provided against electrical surges resulting from Electrical Over Stress conditions, e.g., when interfacing circuits with powered connections. An EOS shunt is activated for as long as the EOS condition exists. EOS protection using an EOS shunt in accordance with the principles of the present invention remains activated by a voltage threshold trigger as long as necessary. In a disclosed embodiment, an EOS shunt includes a voltage threshold detector that detects a voltage on a power bus with respect to a ground rail exceeding a predetermined amount, e.g., 5 volts in a device powered at 3.3 volts. During the EOS event, a path between power and ground comprising a transistor is turned on.

  • Publication number: 20090149589
Abstract: A process is described for forming a conductive silver surface on a solid polymer article. An acid-containing polymer and silver ions are dissolved in an appropriate solvent, and a solid polymer article is formed by known methods. The solid polymer is treated with a chemical reducing agent to yield a conductive silver surface, useful in a wide range of applications. Patterned silver conductive surfaces can also be produced.
