  • Patent number: 11937037
Abstract: A housing has a bud portion abutting an elongated stem portion. The bud portion is to fit within an ear. The bud portion has a primary sound outlet at its far end that is to be inserted into an outer ear canal, and abuts the stem portion at its near end. A speaker driver is inside the bud portion. Electronic circuitry inside the housing includes a wireless communications interface to receive audio content over-the-air and in response provides an audio signal to the speaker driver. A rechargeable battery as a power source for the electronic circuitry is located inside a cavity of the stem portion. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 7617747
Abstract: A rotary drag bit including an inverted cone geometry proximate the longitudinal axis thereof is disclosed. The inverted cone region may include a central region, the central region including a plurality of cutting structures affixed thereto and arranged along at least one spiral path. The at least one spiral path may encircle its center of revolution at least once within the inverted cone region. A cone region displacement and a method for manufacturing a rotary drag bit therewith are disclosed. At least one groove may be formed within the cone region displacement along a respective at least one spiral path, the at least one spiral path encircling its center of revolution at least once. A plurality of cutting structures may be placed within the at least one groove and the cone region displacement may be placed within a mold for filling with an infiltratable powder and infiltrating with a hardenable infiltrant.

  • Patent number: 7439986
Abstract: A configurable filter module for providing shared filter resource between an overlay engine and a texture mapping engine of a graphics system. The configurable filter may comprise a plurality of linear blend units each of which receives data input from one of the overlay engine and a mapping engine cache, and generates a linear blend filter output respectively; and a filter output multiplexer which receives data output from the linear blend units and selects a proper byte ordering output, wherein the linear blend units serve as an overlay interpolator filter to perform linear blending of the data input from the overlay engine during a linear blend mode, and serve as a texture bilinear filter to perform bilinear filtering of the data input from the mapping engine cache during a bilinear filtering mode.

  • Patent number: 7415804
Abstract: An insulating concrete form with two opposing panels, each panel having on each end thereof both a tongue and a groove for interconnecting with a similar form, the tongues and grooves positioned such that a similar form may be reversibly positioned and still interconnected, the opposing panels on each form joined by a plurality of metal wire ties with both horizontal and vertical members, preferably welded one to another, with each horizontal wire bent to form a right angle on each end with a metal attachment strip disposed within such right angle.

  • Patent number: 7254944
Abstract: An energy storage system in which a renewable power production facility, such as one having a wind energy collector, is used to power a compressor situated adjacent a wellbore. During periods of non-peak load on the electric power grid, the compressor is used to compress atmospheric gases and transfer these gases to a subterranean zone, where the gases are stored. During peak load periods, pressurized gases are allowed to flow from the subterranean zone, through the wellbore and to the surface. At the surface, the gases may be processed to remove residual hydrocarbons, and heated. Heat may be provided by combustion of the hydrogen output of an electrolyzer. The gases are then used to power a electric power production device which delivers alternating current to the power grid.

  • Patent number: 6662819
Abstract: This invention relates generally to a valve system for the automatic switchover from one source of pressurized fluid to a second, or reserve, source. The switchover valve is actuated automatically in response to the first pressure source failing or reducing to a predetermined value whereupon the valve switches to a second pressure source while sustaining continuous operation. Upon switchover, the valve blocks the inlet of the depleted source such that it can be replaced with a recharged pressure source (gas bottle or liquid tank) without effecting the delivery of working pressure or necessitating additional, costly and complicated valving. Switchover pressure is predetermined by the designed working surface of the axial end of the spool and the force of the opposing biasing spring. Unencumbered movement of the spool during switchover is afforded by the space between the spool end and the opposing spring. Movement through this space prevents false switchovers and exact control over switchover pressure.
