  • Publication number: 20240169452
Abstract: A computer predicts damage to crop plants (110) in a particular geographic area (100), caused by Sclerotinia fungi. The computer receives current condition data (202) in form of time-series, collected during a monitor interval. The current condition data (202) comprises plant data with an identifier of a particular crop plant species, the identifier of crop plants previously grown, and biomass data; as well as environmental with weather data and with soil moisture data. The computer processes the current condition data (202) by an artificial neural network (472), and provides predicted damage data (302). The artificial neural network (472) has previously being trained by a combination of historical condition data in the form of time-series for the particular geographic area (100) and historical damage data in form of expert annotations.

  • Patent number: 9624644
Abstract: An attachment for a bucket of a loader, where the bucket includes a bottom wall and a blade extending across an outer surface thereof, features clamping and retaining mechanisms. The clamping mechanism comprises a first clamping surface arranged for engagement with an inner surface of the bottom wall and an opposing second clamping surface arranged for engagement with a bottom surface of the blade. The retaining mechanism comprises a recessed portion longitudinally spaced from the clamping surfaces and an adjustable abutting element in opposite relation to the recessed portion such that the clamping surfaces are located therebetween. The abutting element includes two contact surfaces which are respectively positionable so as to define an abutting surface arranged for butting engagement with a rear surface of the blade. Each working position of the abutting element is suited for retaining a particular width of blade between same and the recessed portion.

  • Publication number: 20080235924
Abstract: A three dimensional decorative spinner is formed of sheet metal by cutting from a flat metal sheet and, while the cut metal sheet remains flat and after it is coated by a powder coat covering layer which is baked, different color layer or layers of different patterns are silk screen printed onto the sheet on each side. The space between each strip and the next is sufficient that the printed covering layers on each side of the strip meet so as to also cover edges of the strips at the space with the covering layers on the each strip being separated from the covering layers on the next adjacent strip by the space between the strips. After the baking of the coating and printing of the colored layer or layers at least some of the strips are bent out of the flat plane of the metal sheet with the width of each strip at the area of bending of the strip being arranged such the bending occurs without cracking the covering layers.

  • Patent number: 7377473
Abstract: A decorative lawn ornament for supporting an object, such as a rain gauge, comprises an assembly featuring a decorative member, a support device and a support mechanism. The decorative member comprises a metal plate shaped to have visual appeal having a hole therein for mounting on the support device. The support device features a receiving portion for supporting the object, a mounting portion for detachably engaging the plate and a reinforcing portion for supporting said receiving portion on said mounting portion. The mounting portion features a groove in the top surface of a protruding member which extends from one side of the plate to the other through the hole. To mount the plate on the support device, the top edge of the hole in the plate fits within the groove and the bottom edge of the hole slides over the bottom surface of the protruding member and snaps into place.

  • Publication number: 20060275562
Abstract: A three dimensional decorative assembly features an inner member suspended for rotation within an opening in an outer member. Each member is made of differently coloured sheet metal and includes a plurality of strips extending between aligned spines at opposite ends on each side of said spines. The strips are progressively longer moving outward from the center of the assembly. In each member, the strips are spaced apart by a distance between an inner edge of one strip and an outer edge of an adjacent strip. In addition, an angle between adjacent strips angularly spaces the plurality of strips of each member about an axis defined by the spines thereof. Together, the inner edges of the shortest strip on each side of the spines of the outer member define the opening therein. Pivot supports are used to suspend the outer member for free rotation and suspend the inner member within the opening of said outer member such that each member can rotate independently about the axis defined by its spines.
