  • Publication number: 20140005996
Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for well planning are provided. The method includes displaying a three-dimensional representation of a subterranean domain, and receiving a selection of a location in the representation of the subterranean domain. The method also includes identifying an object of a well plan associated with the location, and receiving an instruction to modify the object. The method further includes editing data associated with the object based on the instruction, and visibly modifying the object in the representation of the subterranean domain, substantially in real-time with respect to receiving the instruction. The method also includes determining, using a processor, that the editing of the data results in at least a portion of the well plan being outside of a constraint, and changing a display of the object to indicate that the editing results in the at least a portion of the well plan being outside of the constraint.

  • Patent number: 6989648
Abstract: An electrical motor comprises a stator 1 and a rotor 2, the stator 1 having poles 3 facing circumferential surfaces of the rotor 2 so that the stator 1 forms a magnetic circuit with the rotor 2. The stator 1 further has stator windings 5 grouped into two or more phase windings A, B, which phase windings are separately energisable to induce stator magnetic fields which interact with magnetic fields associated with the rotor 2. A voltage across a stator phase winding is detected by voltage detecting means.

  • Patent number: 6140729
Abstract: An electrical machine comprises a four-pole stator 2 provided with a field winding 10 and an armature winding 11, each of the windings 10, 11 being split into two coils 22, 23 or 24, 25 closely coupled and wound so that diametrically opposite portions of both coils are disposed within diametrically opposite stator slots. A two-pole rotor (not shown) without windings is rotatable within the stator 2, and a circuit is provided for energising the armature coils 24 and 25 when direct current is supplied to terminals 26 and 27 of the circuit. Switches 28 and 29 in series with the coils 24 and 25 are switched alternately to effect alternate energisation of the coils 24 and 25 so as to generate, as a result of the opposite winding of the coils, magnetomotive forces in opposite directions.

  • Patent number: 4960413
Abstract: There is disclosed a wound dressing comprised by an assembly of microfungal fibres which have been treated with alkali to expose chitin and chitosan. The fibres may be derived from hyphae or from sporangiophores. The assembly may include other fibres, may be bleached and incorporate other additives such as silver as an anti-bacterial agent.
