  • Patent number: 11901751
Abstract: An indexed sequence of bits in a buffer is allocated for tracking a battery charging state. The indexed sequence of bits has a first number of bits. A battery voltage of a rechargeable battery is sampled at a sampling rate. For each sampled battery voltage, the battery voltage is compared with a voltage threshold. A next bit position in the indexed sequence of bits is identified. In accordance with a determination that a comparison result is true, a predefined first value is added to the next bit position. A second number of bits that are filled with the predefined first value is determined. A ratio between the second number and the first number is also determined. In accordance with a determination that the ratio exceeds a threshold step-down ratio, a battery charge voltage is stepped down. The rechargeable battery is charged to a step-down voltage.

  • Publication number: 20240028207
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems having an integrated circuit device disposed within an integrated circuit package having a periphery, and within this periphery a transaction processor is configured to receive a combination of signals (e.g., using a standard memory interface), and intercept some of the signals to initiate a data transformation, and forward the other signals to one or more memory controllers within the periphery to execute standard memory access operations (e.g., with a set of DRAM devices). The DRAM devices may or may not be in within the package periphery. In some embodiments, the transaction processor can include a data plane and control plane to decode and route the combination of signals. In other embodiments, off-load engines and processor cores within the periphery can support execution and acceleration of the data transformations.

  • Publication number: 20230408674
Abstract: This disclosure enables various technologies for tracking various objects (e.g., mammals, animals, humans, pets) within various defined areas (e.g., rooms, apartments, residences, vehicles, tents) to determine whether those objects satisfy or do not satisfy various criteria, signatures, or thresholds, which may relate to health, safety, or security of those objects within those defined areas. These technologies may be enabled via various radars (e.g., time-of-flight radars, Doppler radars) positioned within those defined areas to track those objects therein. For example, some of such radars may operate in a Ku-band inclusively between about 12 GHz and about 18 GHz, a K-band inclusively between about 18 GHz and about 27 GHz, or a Ka-band inclusively between about 26.5 GHz and about 40 GHz, each of which has been unexpectedly found to be technologically beneficial for tracking those objects within those defined areas.

  • Publication number: 20230344766
Abstract: This application relates to a distributed software-defined network (“DSDN”) for dynamically configuring and managing a wireless communication network. A plurality of DSDN nodes are connected to each other via a plurality of communication paths. Each communication path directly connects two DSDN nodes. Each DSDN node can provide DSDN configurations across diverse and disparate networks by normalizing its data plane network traffic through translation and packet encapsulation. Furthermore, the DSDN node can provide an architecture tolerant of network interruptions and network system fluctuations. For example, in the case of any one of the DSDN node's network interruptions from other DSDN nodes, the DSDN can provide network reconfiguration using network configuration rules stored in a control plane of each DSDN node.

  • Publication number: 20230246470
Abstract: The present document describes battery zero-voltage (0V) detection methodologies and applications thereof. These techniques detect the occurrence of the 0V condition and enable the device to continue operation after one 0V condition. These techniques may, however, shut down the device after detecting a second occurrence of the 0V condition of the battery. In an aspect, a combination of hardware and software is used at a system side of a device, when the device is connected to an external power source, to detect a 0V condition and/or distinguish the 0V condition from an undervoltage-protection (UVP) condition.
