  • Publication number: 20240251552
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for NAND staircase landing pads conversion are described. A memory device may include one or more lateral word line contacts that may couple a word line with a conductive pillar that traverses a stack of materials of the memory device. The use of the lateral word line contact may allow for a conductive pillar to be coupled with a target word line without requiring an end of the conductive pillar to be placed directly on the word line. Additionally, the memory architecture described herein may allow for the target word line to be coupled with CMOS circuitry via a first conductive pillar without the use of a second conductive pillar, as the first conductive pillar may traverse the stack of materials and be coupled with the CMOS circuitry. Therefore, total quantity of conductive pillars may be reduced, and the risk of manufacturing errors may be lowered.

  • Publication number: 20240250604
Abstract: Radio frequency (RF) transmitters of a device (aggressor device) may unintentionally transmit a high-power output signal to antennas of a receiving device (victim device). In some RF systems, a victim device may have no or little protection between its antennas and transistors in an integrated circuit. Performance or lifetime of the transistors may be negatively impacted due to large voltage swings that may result from the high-power signal received from the aggressor device. To prevent or mitigate impact to performance or lifetime of the transistors due to the large voltage swings, protection circuitry including switches and a direct current (DC) power source (e.g., a charge pump) may be implemented at an input of a receiver of the victim device to shunt the power from sensitive circuit components of the victim device.

  • Publication number: 20240246230
Abstract: A computer-controlled robotic arm performs operations upon a workpiece, such as a knife with a blade that requires sharpening, by a set of one or more workstations, such as a grinder and a polisher. A position target having a defined surface profile is attached to the robot arm and scanned by a profilometer to determine a relative position of the arm with respect to a target centerpoint feature. The arm is then used to manipulate the centerpoint feature to locate operating features, such as a grinder's grinding surface, of the various workstations in the robot arm's coordinate system. A workpiece grasped by the robot arm is then scanned along with the target or another target to locate and profile the workpiece relative to the target. Based on the determined profile and positional relationships, the robot arm manipulates the workpieces so as to be operated upon by the workstations.

  • Patent number: 12044270
Abstract: An automobile vehicle crankshaft including a crankshaft casting of a nodular iron. The crankshaft casting includes multiple main journals coaxially aligned on a common crankshaft casting axis. Multiple crankpin journals are fixedly connected to the main journals by individual webs. Multiple lightening holes have individual ones of the multiple lightening holes integrally formed within individual ones of the crankpin journals during casting. A bubble space is located proximate to a mid-portion of selected ones of the multiple lightening holes of the crankpin journals. The bubble space locally increases a passage size of the selected ones of the multiple lightening holes and reduces a mass of the individual ones of the crankpin journals.

  • Patent number: 12042434
Abstract: The XYZ beam position of an ophthalmic laser system is calibrated by measuring a fluorescent signal induced by the focused laser beam in a thin glass coverslip via multiphoton absorption. A video camera measures the XY position and intensity of the fluorescent signal as the focused laser beam strikes the coverslip. The Z position of the focus is determined by scanning the targeted z position and identifying the Z scanner position of peak fluorescence. An OCT system measures the real space Z location of the coverslip, which is correlated with the Z scanner position. Other laser system parameters are assessed by repeatedly scanning a lower energy laser beam in a piece of IOL material, and observing damage (scattering voids) formation in the IOL material. Based on the rate of damage formation, laser system parameters such as beam quality, numerical aperture, pulse energy, and pulse duration, etc. can be assessed.

  • Publication number: 20240239374
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to behavior planning for autonomous vehicles. The technology described herein selects a preferred trajectory for an autonomous vehicle based on an evaluation of multiple hypothetical trajectories by different components within a planning system. The various components provide an optimization score for each trajectory according to the priorities of the component and scores from multiple components may form a final optimization score. This scoring system allows the competing priorities (e.g., comfort, minimal travel time, fuel economy) of different components to be considered together. In examples, the trajectory with the best combined score may be selected for implementation. As such, an iterative approach that evaluates various factors may be used to identify an optimal or preferred trajectory for an autonomous vehicle when navigating an environment.

  • Publication number: 20240205153
Abstract: This application relates to a distributed software-defined network (“DSDN”) for dynamically configuring and managing a wireless communication network. A plurality of DSDN nodes are connected to each other via a plurality of communication paths. Each communication path directly connects two DSDN nodes. Each DSDN node can provide DSDN configurations across diverse and disparate networks by normalizing its data plane network traffic through translation and packet encapsulation. Furthermore, the DSDN node can provide an architecture tolerant of network interruptions and network system fluctuations. For example, in the case of any one of the DSDN node's network interruptions from other DSDN nodes, the DSDN can provide network reconfiguration using network configuration rules stored in a control plane of each DSDN node.
