  • Publication number: 20250118964
Abstract: A battery charger compatible with AC/DC power sources is provided. The battery charger comprises a power output port connected to a battery, a rectifier electrically connected between an AC connecting port and the power output port, and a power conversion unit electrically connected between a DC connecting port and the power output port. When the AC connecting port receives an AC power, the rectifier rectifies the AC power into a DC power and outputs the DC power to the power output port. When the DC connecting port receives an DC input power and the AC power is not received by the AC connecting port, the power conversion unit transforms the DC input power into the DC power and outputs the DC power to the power output port. The battery charger is a 2-in-1 charger that can charge the battery using either the DC power or the AC power.

  • Patent number: 12242504
Abstract: A method for backfilling records dropped by a distributed node system during a transfer to an external database includes initially determining whether an attempt to transfer a data record failed or succeeded. In response to determining that the transfer succeeded, the data record is appended at its original location include a first transfer status identifier. In response to determining that the transfer failed, the data record is appended to include a second transfer status identifier and queued copy of the data record is created by copying the data record to a delayed re-try queue. The method further includes verifying that the transfer status identifier of the queued copy is identical to the transfer status identifier of a newest version of the data record within the distributed node system and, responsive to the verification, attempting a subsequent transfer of the queued copy of the data record to the external database.

  • Patent number: 12231338
Abstract: This application relates to a distributed software-defined network (“DSDN”) for dynamically configuring and managing a wireless communication network. A plurality of DSDN nodes are connected to each other via a plurality of communication paths. Each communication path directly connects two DSDN nodes. Each DSDN node can provide DSDN configurations across diverse and disparate networks by normalizing its data plane network traffic through translation and packet encapsulation. Furthermore, the DSDN node can provide an architecture tolerant of network interruptions and network system fluctuations. For example, in the case of any one of the DSDN node's network interruptions from other DSDN nodes, the DSDN can provide network reconfiguration using network configuration rules stored in a control plane of each DSDN node.

  • Patent number: 12149106
Abstract: An indexed sequence of bits in a buffer is allocated for tracking a battery charging state. The indexed sequence of bits has a first number of bits. A battery voltage of a rechargeable battery is sampled at a sampling rate. For each sampled battery voltage, the battery voltage is compared with a voltage threshold. A next bit position in the indexed sequence of bits is identified. In accordance with a determination that a comparison result is true, a predefined first value is added to the next bit position. A second number of bits that are filled with the predefined first value is determined. A ratio between the second number and the first number is also determined. In accordance with a determination that the ratio exceeds a threshold step-down ratio, a battery charge voltage is stepped down. The rechargeable battery is charged to a step-down voltage.

  • Publication number: 20240372376
Abstract: The present document describes methods and systems for battery authentication. In aspects, the battery includes an identifier (ID) resistor integrated into the battery label and having at least one exposed resistor contact. The location of the resistor contact can be used for mechanical keying for identification of the battery. The ID resistor has a resistance value that corresponds to a type of the battery. To detect the ID resistor, a device can have electrical contacts (e.g., pogo pins) that are exposed in a battery housing and that electrically connect to the resistor contact(s) of the battery. The device can use a lookup table to identify the type of the battery based on the resistance value of the ID resistor. Such identification of the type of the battery enables authentication of the battery to the device and initiation of one or more functions based on whether the battery is valid.

  • Patent number: 12137078
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, apparatus, and computer program product embodiments for dynamic mitigation of CGN IPv4 address provisioning for network gateways when adverse conditions are in effect. A network gateway may be provisioned with a shared WAN IP address from a pool of IP addresses designated for Carrier Grade Network Address Translation (CGN) and configured to detect the occurrence of an adverse condition for a connection provisioned the shared WAN IP address. Upon detecting an adverse condition, the network gateway may send a request for a new IP address to a DHCP server configured to recognize flags indicating an adverse condition. The DHCP server may then provision the gateway with a new public IP address.

  • Publication number: 20240356357
Abstract: The present document describes techniques for extending battery life after long-term and high-temperature storage. These techniques delay charging of a battery to detect battery conditions and determine whether the battery was exposed to high temperatures while in an idle or low-power state for a long period of time. These techniques include a methodology to relax and refresh an anode surface of the battery, after high-temperature storage, through distinct and tailored discharges prior to beginning a normal charge profile. These techniques can be applied to a wide range of chemistry platforms, which may have kinetic (Li-ion) limitations, to extend the longevity of the battery by reducing lithium plating and capacity degradation caused by long-term, high-temperature storage.
