Patent number: 12144802Abstract: Topical pharmaceutical compositions comprising roflumilast and solvents that are capable of dissolving high amounts of roflumilast. The pharmaceutical compositions are capable of dissolving high amounts of roflumilast relative to other commonly used solvents in approved topical pharmaceutical compositions. The solvents are particularly useful when combined with water to maintain high levels of dissolved roflumilast, which is highly insoluble in water.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2023Date of Patent: November 19, 2024Assignee: ARCUTIS BIOTHERAPEUTICS, INC.Inventors: David W. Osborne, Babak N. Tofig, Frank Watanabe

Publication number: 20240350006Abstract: The ophthalmic optical system is configured to apply an angular scanning light ray to an eye. M=|?out/?in| is defined, where ?in represents an angle between an incident light ray to the ophthalmic optical system and an optical axis of the ophthalmic optical system, and ?out represents an angle between an exiting light ray exiting from the ophthalmic optical system toward the eye and the optical axis. The ophthalmic optical system satisfies a conditional expression Mpar<Mmax, where Mpar represents M in a case that the incident light ray is a paraxial ray, Mmax represents M in a case that the incident light ray is a ray of a maximum angle of ?in.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 27, 2024Publication date: October 24, 2024Applicants: NIKON CORPORATION, OPTOS PLCInventors: Gonzalo MUYO, Alistair GORMAN, David M. WILLIAMSON, Makoto FUJIMOTO, Yasufumi NISHI, Azuna NONAKA, Katsuya WATANABE, Miwako YOSHIDA, Kyoya TOKUNAGA, Masahiro MIZUTA

Patent number: 9934315Abstract: A method and system for providing personalized search results is disclosed. A computer receives input from a user to navigate to a web site (either directly or as a result of choosing a result from a search result page). The computer navigates to the web site and stores information about the web site in a file. The computer determines web sites associated with a search query of the user as the search query is being entered into a search area of a user interface. The associated web sites are sites that have been previously navigated to by the user. The determining step includes obtaining the web sites associated with the search query from a data structure previously generated from the file. The data structure includes parsed entries of URLs associated with the previously navigated web sites. Based on the determining step, web site links corresponding to the associated web sites are displayed as the search query is being entered.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2016Date of Patent: April 3, 2018Assignee: EXCALIBUR IP, LLCInventors: Paul Alex Broman, David Watanabe, Ariel Seidman

Patent number: 8269175Abstract: A method for detecting a gesture and controlling an electronic device includes providing a sensing assembly including at least one photoreceiver and a plurality of phototransmitters, wherein each phototransmitter emits infrared light; controlling the emisson of infrared light by each of the phototransmitters during each of a plurality of time periods during movement of an external object in a geometric shape relative to the electronic device. For each of the plurality of phototransmitters and for each of the plurality of time periods, a corresponding measured signal is generated which is indicative of a respective amount of infrared light which originated from that phototransmitter during that time period and was reflected by the external object prior to being received by the photoreceiver. The measured signals are evaluated to identify the geometric shape; and the electronic device is controlled in response to the identification of the geometric shape.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2009Date of Patent: September 18, 2012Assignee: Motorola Mobility LLCInventors: Rachid M. Alameh, William S. Hede, Hisashi David Watanabe

Publication number: 20100295772Abstract: A method for detecting a gesture in a geometric shape and controlling an electronic device includes providing a sensing assembly including at least one photoreceiver and a plurality of phototransmitters, wherein each phototransmitter emits infrared light away from the electronic device about a corresponding central transmission axis, wherein each central transmission axis is oriented in a different direction with respect to the others; and controlling the emission of infrared light by each of the phototransmitters during each of a plurality of time periods during movement of an external object in a geometric shape relative to the electronic device. For each of the plurality of phototransmitters and for each of the plurality of sequential time periods, a corresponding measured signal is generated which is indicative of a respective amount of infrared light which originated from that phototransmitter during that time period and was reflected by the external object prior to being received by the photoreceiver.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2009Publication date: November 25, 2010Inventors: Rachid M.
