  • Patent number: 12155892
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for adaptively buffering content of a media asset from a media source when a different media asset from a different media source is being played at user equipment. The media guidance application may predict when and which channel or other media source the user is likely to switch to and then buffer content from the predicted channel or other media source accordingly. The pre-tuning buffering may enhance the user experience by reduce tuning latency when the user switches channels.

  • Publication number: 20240342521
Abstract: A mobile safety fall arrest cart is provided. The mobile safety fall arrest cart is configured to move along an edge of an elevated surface as a worker works along the edge. The worker is connected to the cart with a safety line. If the worker falls from the elevated surface, the weight of the worker causes a spike assembly to move from a stowed configuration to a deployed configuration. In the deployed configuration, a spike member engages the elevated surface so as to assist in arresting the worker's fall.

  • Publication number: 20240336790
Abstract: Overspray treatment compositions for addition to a water source located within a paint overspray waterwash system located in a spray-paint booth, or a water source that is subsequently applied to such a paint overspray waterwash system for contact with a paint overspray include an amine-functionalized colloidal silica having about 0.1 ?mol to 15.00 ?mol of amine functionality per square meter of silica surface area, and optionally a coagulant. The compositions and methods described herein work within a pH range of 6.5 and 10 to provide treated paint oversprays. Addition of a flocculant to a treated overspray results in formation of associated complexes having low tack, which may be cleanly separated from the aqueous treatment residue. The aqueous treatment residue may be subjected to one or more additional cycles of use in the paint overspray waterwash system.

  • Publication number: 20240329235
Abstract: A method for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) phase history extraction includes receiving, at a SAR system, a set of SAR phase history data derived from a plurality of return signals, the plurality of return signals produced by the SAR system illuminating a scene with a plurality of radar pulses. A region of interest (ROI) is obtained, the ROI corresponding to a moving target within the scene. A doppler shift frequency range for the moving target is determined based at least in part on an azimuth angle spread corresponding to the ROI and a known approximate trajectory of the moving target. The SAR phase history data is filtered to give extracted phase history corresponding to the moving target based at least in part on the doppler shift frequency range.

  • Publication number: 20240307047
Abstract: A system and method simultaneously measure retraction pressure and oximetry during surgical procedures. The system involves an optical sensor module that is integrated within a retractor. Real-time optical data from the sensor module is analyzed, via machine learning or other algorithms, to determine the pressure applied between the retractor and tissue. This real-time continuous monitoring of pressure is coupled with simultaneous reporting of perfusion-related metrics at the site, providing warnings to surgeons when tissue viability is being compromised by prolonged reduction in perfusion due to retraction.
