Abstract: A closure for use in closing a container which includes a seal liner, and includes side walls with an upper panel which is integral with the side walls. The upper panel has an upper surface defining a recessed relief area which corresponds to a venting location. The recessed relief area of the upper panel represents a location where a sufficient down force is not available for bonding a seal liner at that location to a container neck land surface. As such, the recessed relief defines a venting location for an assembled combination of the closure, container and seal liner.

Abstract: An attachable handle for a container lid is constructed and arranged such that the container and lid assembly is able to be lifted and/or transported by use of the attachable handle. The attachable handle includes a base portion which is constructed and arranged for attachment to a lid, a first bail joined to the base portion by means of a first flexible section and a second bail joined to the base portion by means of a second flexible section.
