  • Publication number: 20070267373
Abstract: A point-of-sale device carries an article having plural interfitting parts that must be fitted together by a human assembler after purchase, and includes a panel for enabling the device to be presented to a prospective purchaser at a retail shop. The panel includes a container in which the interfitting parts of the article in the assembled condition are located. The container has a transparent region through which the interfitting parts, in their assembled condition, can be seen by a prospective purchaser. The point-of-sale device is mounted on a horizontally extending, elongated element carried by a pegboard.

  • Publication number: 20070034581
Abstract: A point of purchase system carrying consumer articles that are for sale and displaying information about the articles comprises a pegboard mounting plural point of purchase devices. Each device carries plural packaged articles that are for sale and a placard at the end of the device remote from the pegboard so it is farther from the mounting structure than the articles. The placard has a video display showing information about the articles and a sample of the article so the display and sample article are clearly visible without obstruction to purchasers.

  • Patent number: 7048156
Abstract: A liquid dispenser bottle includes a suction tube and a spray nozzle. An end of the tube abuts an intersection of the bottle base and wall when the bottle is in use. A screen extending between opposite sides of a wall of the tube at the end where the intersection is located overcomes a tube tendency to collapse and enables liquid to flow from the corner of the bottle into the tube. Aesthetic undulations in the bottle wall cause liquid to flow therefrom toward the base when the bottle is vertically disposed, so liquid is not retained in the undulations.

  • Publication number: 20060094573
Abstract: A bola-like device for enhancing bilateral dexterity includes an elastic member having a first end and a second end, a first hand held object connected with the first end of the elastic member cord, and a second hand held object connected with the second end of the elastic member. At least one of the hand held objects has visual indicia for distinguishing the first hand held object from the second hand held object.

  • Publication number: 20050173582
Abstract: A coiled helical garden hose having a first predetermined length along the longitudinal axis thereof is carried by a holder having an elongated leg including a vertically extending portion having a second predetermined length in the vertical direction that exceeds the first predetermined length. All the turns of the hose fit around and are held in place by the vertically extending leg portion. The longitudinal axis of the hose extends vertically and in approximate alignment with the longitudinal axis of the vertically extending leg portion.

  • Publication number: 20050150726
Abstract: A point of sale apparatus for a coiled garden hose with a predetermined length includes a short coiled garden hose having a length less than the predetermined length. A vertically mounted backing carries (a) a spigot connected to a connector at one end of the short coiled hose, and (b) a holder carrying the short coiled hose. The spigot and holder are positioned to enable a prospective purchaser to see the coiled hose carried by the holder and connected to the spigot.

  • Patent number: 6910505
Abstract: A water hose includes a helically shaped coiled tube having interior and exterior elliptical cross-sections with a flexural modulus greater than the flexural modulus of a coiled tube having interior and exterior circular cross-sections and the same neutral center line length as the elliptical cross-sections, but otherwise having the same properties as the elliptical cross-sections. The tube is made of extruded plastic resin having a durometer hardness measurement approximately in the range of 70-80 Shore A and has on its periphery ridges extending longitudinally at right angles to the elliptical cross-sections. In first and second embodiments, the elliptical cross-sections have major and minor axes respectively extending in the direction of the coil longitudinal axis and in planes extending at right angles to the longitudinal axis, and vice versa.

  • Publication number: 20050035240
Abstract: A roll of wire is captured in a cardboard container so the roll is rotatable in the container about a rotation axis of the roll. The container has opposite sidewalls with aligned slots receiving ends of a shaft about which a spool carrying the roll turns. Each side wall includes three panels in different parallel planes; two of these panels include slots with aligned shoulders supporting the shaft. The container has a slot for enabling the wire to be paid from the roll as the roll turns about its rotation axis and a slit having edges for holding the wire in place.

  • Patent number: 6758455
Abstract: A picture hanger has a metal base from which is stamped a tougue for receiving a wire of a picture frame hung on a wall. The tongue has a convex shape with respect to a front face of the base and a ledge therefor on which the wire rests bears against a protrusion extending from the base front face. The tongue has bends with progressively increasing angles as it extends away from the base.

  • Patent number: 6375202
Abstract: A household cart has a wooden or molded plastic rectangular base for carrying household items. Four caster assemblies on the base are close to the four corners of the base. A U-shaped handle has hooks for carrying household items approximately halfway between side edges of the base, about equidistant from front and back edges of the base. The handle can be positioned either transversely or longitudinally of the base. In the handle transverse position, legs of the handle fit into a first pair of receptacles located between (1) the casters close to the base back edge and (2) the cart transverse center line. In the longitudinal position, the legs fit into a second pair of receptacles located along a longitudinal center line of the base. The receptacles of the first pair are spaced from each other by the same distance as the receptacles of the second pair.
