  • Patent number: 11612352
Abstract: System for determining real-world effectiveness of various prescribed medications. Here a variety of different types of patient pulse wave measurements (e.g. blood pressure, pulse oximeter, ECG) and other physiological measurements are obtained. This actual data is compared to calculated measurements that would be expected based on the various patient baseline measurements in the absence of medication, schedule of medications, and impact of medications the various patient baseline measurements. If the actual data meets expectations, then the medication is likely acting as anticipated. Depending on which types of data do not meet expectations, problems with one or more previously described medications may be reported.

  • Patent number: 10893837
Abstract: Handheld medical diagnostic instrument that provides high time-resolution pulse waveforms associated with multiple parameters including blood pressure measurements, blood oxygen saturation levels, electrocardiograph (ECG) measurements, and temperature measurements. The device stores and analyzes the pulse waveforms simultaneously obtained from all tests, and thereby allows an unusually detailed view into the functioning of the user's cardiovascular heart-lung system. The device is designed for use by unskilled or semi-skilled users, thus enabling sophisticated cardiovascular measurements to be obtained in a home environment. Data from the device can be analyzed onboard, with local computerized devices, and/or with remote server based systems. The device or remote server may be configured to analyze this data according to various algorithms chosen by the physician to be most appropriate to that patient's particular medical condition (e.g. COPD patient algorithms).

  • Patent number: 10642046
Abstract: An augmented reality system and method configured to automatically provide a user, such as a physician, with a real-time heads-up view of a patient's real-time medical status using an augmented reality headset. The system can automatically identify patients, pull up relevant medical records, obtain real-time biomedical sensor data from the patient, and display this to the user while, at the same time, allowing the user to directly view the patient through the headset's transparent lenses, and leaving the user's hands free to manipulate the patient or perform other functions. The system and method are particularly useful for intensive care units and other emergency medical situations where the user needs to get an almost instant understanding of the patient's status.

Other types of patient physiological readings, such as temperature, motion, lung function, brain wave function (EEG) and the like may also be obtained, and these additional types of readings can be used to extend the range of different types of drugs/medications that the system can successfully monitor.

  • Publication number: 20190274626
Abstract: A patient monitoring device, system and method, based on a neck mounted monitoring harness configured to be capable of operating in a stand-alone mode. The neck-mounted harness is a rigid or semi-rigid U-shaped device, with its own independent processor, power source, and ECG circuitry, configured to be worn around the patient's neck with ECG electrodes, mounted on opposite ends of the U, configured to straddle opposite sides of the patient's sternum near the patient's heart. The device is also configured to interface with other devices such as patient ear worn oximeters and oscillometric blood pressure monitors. The device processor has the capability of independently operating the sensors, analyzing sensor data, and reporting results. The device is also configured to interface with various types of external computerized devices. The device can be configured to help to prepare patients for cardiac CT scans or other imaging scans, and this application is described in detail.

  • Patent number: 8312834
Abstract: A coating apparatus includes a coating transfer roll that transfers a coating material from a coating material reservoir to a work piece. The coating material reservoir is formed between the coating transfer roll, a flexible blade and reservoir wall members. The flexible blade includes a first section that is fixed to a support. A second section of the flexible blade extends along a length of the coating transfer roll and is rotatable about the first section. An actuator selectively applies a pressure on the flexible blade during a coating operation to deflect the flexible blade and control a thickness of the coating material applied to the work piece.
