Publication number: 20140155160Abstract: A system, computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method for providing a destructible game object mechanic are presented. For example, an embodiment may generate a destructible game object within a game board assigned to a user. The destructible game object may be represented by an initial state, one or more destructed states, and a reward state. Responsive to detecting a game action that satisfies a part requirement precondition associated with the one or more destructed states, the embodiment may advance the destructible game object from the initial state to the one or more destructed states. Further, responsive to detecting fulfillment of a part requirement precondition associated with the reward state, the embodiment may replace the destructible game object with a reward object.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2013Publication date: June 5, 2014Applicant: Zynga Inc.Inventors: Peter Pao Lai, Christopher David Wiggins

Patent number: 7672723Abstract: A heart stimulator for biventricular pacing comprises at least one stimulation pulse generator connected or connectable to a right ventricular or atrial stimulation electrode lead and a left ventricular or atrial electrode lead, respectively. The heart stimulator is adapted to generate right chamber stimulation pulses for a right atrium or ventricle and left chamber stimulation pulses for a left ventricle or atrium. A high rate protection unit connected to said stimulation pulse generator is adapted to trigger, upon any right or left chamber stimulation pulse, a protection time window having a predetermined duration in time and comprising an early part immediately followed by a late part. The protection unit is further adapted to only allow atrial or ventricular stimulation pulses in said early part of said protection time window and to suppress any atrial or ventricular stimulation pulse in said late part.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2007Date of Patent: March 2, 2010Assignee: Biotronik CRM Patent AGInventors: Benoit Veillette, Jim Hess, David Wiggins

Publication number: 20080154342Abstract: An implantable medical device comprises an electronic control unit and a magnetic resonance imaging magnetic field detector that is connected to the control unit. The magnetic resonance imaging magnetic field detector is adapted to generate a signal being characteristic for a magnetic field as used for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and the control unit is adapted to positively recognize a presence of a magnetic field as used for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and to cause the implantable medical device to enter an MRI-safe mode of operation.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2006Publication date: June 26, 2008Inventors: Dennis Digby, David Wiggins, Richard Berthelsdorf

Patent number: 7336146Abstract: A circuit breaker mechanism comprises a line terminal, a load terminal and a set of contacts between the terminals. A fixed contact is connected to the line terminal, and a moving contact is connected to the load terminal via a conductive frame and a load sensing element. The moving contact is fixed to a contact carrier which is supported pivotably on conductive pins which are electrically connected to the frame. A spring urges the contact carrier into snug engagement with the conductive pins. The arrangement obviates the need for a flexible conductive pig-tail to form a current path between the contact carrier and the frame, simplifying the construction and improving the performance of the circuit breaker. With this arrangement, the current path extends from the line terminal to the moving contact, through the contact carrier, through the conductive pins, to the conductive frame and through the load sensing element to the load terminal.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2006Date of Patent: February 26, 2008Assignee: Circuit Breaker Industries Ltd.Inventors: David Alexander Elrick, Ian David Wiggins, Dante Bagalini

Publication number: 20050177489Abstract: A method for disbursing loan proceeds, which has the following steps: (a) a borrower residing in a different jurisdiction from the location of a licensed lender contacting said lender about obtaining a loan; (b) said licensed lender forwarding the application to said borrower; (c) said borrower transmitting the executed loan application and requested documentation to said licensed lender; (d) said licensed lender accepting and processing the loan application; (e) said licensed lender approving the loan application; (f) said licensed lender pursuant to authorization of borrower automatically opening an account for said borrower at a banking institution located in the same state jurisdiction as such licensed lender and its banking institution; (g) said licensed lender disbursing the loan proceeds from its funding account at its banking institution to said borrower's newly created bank account; (h) such loan proceeds then being automatically wired from said borrower's new bank account at said banking institutionType: ApplicationFiled: February 9, 2004Publication date: August 11, 2005Inventors: Wheeler Neff, David Wiggins

Publication number: 20040022198Abstract: Blocking of a network element such as the switch occurs when there is remaining capacity in the switch in terms of available connections but some other problem occurs in the switch (such as lack of processing power) which causes a connection to be refused. Switches use increasingly complex algorithms to carry out switching operations, in part to optimise blocking performance, however, this makes estimation of real capacity in a switch difficult. Generating random connections for sampling purposes from the space of fully provisioned connections based on sensible estimates of bandwidth granularity, allows accurate estimates to be carried out. Appropriate shuffling and correlation techniques further enhance the real-world performance of such simulations.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 5, 2002Publication date: February 5, 2004Inventors: Jon C. Weil, David Wiggins

Patent number: 6519722Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling the read clock signal rate of a First-In First-Out data memory is provided. A control signal for controlling the read clock signal rate is derived from an error signal, wherein the level of data contained in the FIFO is used to generate the error signal. The control signal includes an integral element, which comprises the error signal, scaled by a first paramater and integrated over time, and a proportional element, which comprises the error signal scaled by a second parameter. In accordance with the invention, at least one of the first and second scaling parameters is varied in accordance with the absolute error signal level. In a preferred embodiment, the or each parameter is varied as an exponential function of the absolute error signal level. This results in the bandwidth of the apparatus varying exponentially with the absolute error signal level.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2000Date of Patent: February 11, 2003Assignee: Nortel Networks LimitedInventor: David Wiggins
