Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a method, system and apparatus for causing a communication client to join a media-over-packet communication session. The method comprises receiving from a communication client an indication indicative of a desire of the communication client to establish a communication session, the communication client being registered in association with a user account. The method further comprises determining if there exists at least one active communication session established with at least one other communication client registered in association with the user account. Responsive to determining that there does exist at least one active communication session, the method further comprises causing the communication client to join at least one of the at least one active communication session.

Abstract: A method, which comprises receiving an indication of an intent to communicate using a first communication client registered to a user account. A memory is then consulted in an attempt to identify a communication session previously established with a party that is a communication client registered to the user account, the communication session having been placed in a held state. If the attempt is successful, the first communication client is then engaged in the communication session.

Abstract: A method, comprising: receiving a first identifier associated with an online transaction and a second identifier used by end user equipment involved in the online transaction; obtaining evidentiary information pertaining to the end user equipment based on the second identifier; storing in a database a record that associates the first identifier with the evidentiary information; and retrieving one of (i) the evidentiary information in said record and (ii) the first identifier in response to a request identifying the other of (i) the evidentiary information in said record and (ii) the first identifier. Where the online transaction is effected over a network after the end user equipment has gained access thereto, the evidentiary information may include information pertaining to a subscriber whose credentials were used by the end user equipment to gain access to the network. Abstract: A method for execution by an owner of a mailbox in a voice mail system. The method comprises using an access device to access a voicemail message contained in the mailbox and entering a command instrumental in causing the voicemail message to be forwarded over a telephone network to a conversion entity. At the conversion entity, an electronic representation of the voicemail message is created and then the electronic representation of the voicemail message is rendered accessible to the owner of the mailbox, e.g., by sending an email message to a predetermined address. In this way, electronic representations of voicemail messages in a mailbox can be accessed by the owner of the mailbox using a device of choice, not necessarily the access device used initially to enter the command. Also, this functionality is achieved while allowing the voice mail system to remain a legacy voice mail system.

Abstract: Methods, systems and computer-readable media containing program code for facilitating forensic investigations of online activities such as online transactions. One method for facilitating an investigation comprises: receiving a logical identifier and temporal information; consulting a database to obtain evidentiary information regarding end-user equipment to which was assigned the logical identifier at a time specified by the temporal information; and using the evidentiary information to transmit a message, which can be used by a party conducting the investigation, for instance, to detect or establish that the transaction is fraudulent or illegal.

Abstract: A method and system for conveying an event reminder associated with an event according to various embodiments of the invention are disclosed. Specifically, the method comprises receiving a spoken indication of an event description from a user and receiving an indication of an event time. The method further comprises storing the event description in association with the user in a memory. An event reminder time is determined based on the event description. In response to an occurrence of the event reminder time, the event reminder comprising at least the event description is conveyed to the user. The instant invention allows the user to provision an event reminder by using voice, which enables the user to employ different types of communication devices (such as legacy POTS phones, VoIP phones, wireless communication devices and the like) for establishing a reminder provisioning session with a server.

Abstract: A process for separating minerals of different mineralogical character. A milled slurry or flotation concentrate is subjected to a first conditioning step (20) followed by a first flotation step (30) followed by a second conditioning step (50) followed by a second flotation step (60). One of the conditioning steps is with an oxidising gas, the other of the conditioning steps being with a non-oxidising gas and an oxidisable surface modifying reagent. The process allows separation of mixtures of valuable minerals by tailoring both the first and second conditioning steps and first and second flotation steps to particular mixed mineral ores.

Abstract: A method for optimising a mineral recovery process. A slurry 10 is fed to a conditioning step 20. The condition slurry 30 is then provided to a flotation circuit 40 to recover a concentrate 50. The remainder of the slurry is then rejected as tail 60 or passed for further processing. The present invention provides apparatus for analysing a sample stream 100 of the slurry. A sample stream 100 is provided to an analysis device 200 which treats the sample with an oxidising gas similar to the oxidative treatment 20. Several parameters are measured before and/or after the oxidative treatment of the slurry. The flotability characteristic of the slurry is then determined as a function of the measured parameter(s). The result is used to optimise mineral recovery. This apparatus can be used intermittently or continuously to provide on-going optimisation of the mineral recovery circuit.

Abstract: A method is provided for reducing the consumption of alkaline pH modifier in a mineral separation circuit which employs sulfoxy radical-containing reagents. The method comprises the addition of a non-oxidizing gas to the mineral separation circuit prior to and/or simultaneously with the addition of the sulfoxy radical-containing reagent. The non-oxidizing gas is added in a quantity sufficient to achieve a chemical environment conducive to the flotation separation of minerals. The inventive process is suitable for a wide range of valuable minerals including sulfidic copper minerals or mixtures of sulfidic and non-sulfidic copper minerals, sulfidic iron minerals (particularly pyrite) and non-sulfidic gangue material. It is particularly suitable for sedimentary copper deposits, copper skarns, porphyry copper/molybdenum/gold deposits and super gene enrichments.

Abstract: The present invention provides a process for the recovery of base metal sulfides including chalcocite, chalcopyrite, pentlandite and platinum group metal bearing mineral ores. The process involves passing a slurry of the ore through a reagent conditioning stage wherein suitable activators, collectors, frothers and/or depressants are added, further conditioning the slurry with a non-oxidizing gas in a quantity conducive to the separation of the sulfide minerals from the remainder of the ore and subsequently subjecting the slurry to a final flotation treatment with a flotation gas having a higher oxygen content than the non-oxidizing gas. The non-oxidizing gas conditioning can be carried out prior to or after the reagent conditioning stage.

Abstract: A method of increasing both flotation selectivity and effectiveness of a sulfoxy radical-containing reagent added to a mineral separation circuit. The method involves adding a non-oxidizing gas to the mineral separation circuit prior to and/or simultaneously with the addition of the sulfoxy radical-containing reagent in a quantity sufficient to achieve a chemical environment conducive to flotation separation of minerals. The process is suitable for use with a broad range of slurries and flotation concentrates having a mixture of valuable materials including sulfidic copper minerals, sulfidic and non-sulfidic copper minerals, valuable lead and/or zinc and/or nickel minerals, sulfidic iron minerals (particularly pyrite) and non-sulfidic gangue material. It is particularly suitable for polymetallic ores containing economic values of copper and/or lead and/or zinc and/or nickel which is frequently in association with iron sulfide.

Abstract: A process for recovery of a precious metals containing mineral from a non-sulphidic gangue mineral comprising:preparing a pulp of a material containing the precious metals containing and gangue minerals;conditioning the pulp with an oxidizing gas containing a gas selected from oxygen and ozone; andsubjecting the conditioned pulp to a flotation operation for recovery of the precious metals containing mineral.
